This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I had read some complaints online about this property, so it was such a relief when I got there to see how nice the place was. It's situated in a beautiful house under a mile from the centre of Oslo, we walked the distance everyday (you can walk through the palace grounds to get to Karl Johann gate!), or there was a bus every 10 minutes. This is the cheapest option I could find in Oslo when booking accommodation so I understand why it was not to everyone's taste, but for myself and my boyfriend it was extremely reasonable. Until you go to Oslo, you have no idea how expensive it really is, mostly food-wise, so it was nice to come back to such a nice room. I am in my mid-20s, so I guess I could be laid-back in relation to this sort of thing... Breakfast is very basic, but most of the time we just grabbed a coffee before heading out, they have cereal, juice and fruit too. Our double bed was in fact two singles pushed together, but that didn't really bother us. The shared bathroom was always kept very clean and we never had to wait to use it. With Residence Kristinelund, you get the privacy of a hotel, but for a lot cheaper. They also had free wi-fi which was great! Overall I really enjoyed my stay in this property, and if you're not looking for something spectacular I couldn't recommend it enough. Its beautiful!
Oh-don't stay here if you want a party though! If I had gone to Oslo with some friends I would have stayed in a hostel in the city centre!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We booked a double room with a garden view. We got a twin room/catbox in a dungeon with a window at ceiling level. One of the beds was broken (slats snapped in 1/2), there were hairs on the pillows, and worst of all there was 1 big mirror on 1 of the walls, and 2 small hideous paintings behind the beds. We discovered that these were up to hide big holes in the 2 walls that had presambly been made in the plaster board by other guests.

It is not even that cheap (there were cheaper), so don't stay here if you can avoid it.
