I had two great stays at Eco Hostel! It was a great first stop when I arrived in South America, and a great place to spend my last few days in Chile. Good showers, great, yet simple, breakfast. The staff were all awesome, and we had some fun watching a bit of world cup. Check this place out.

Nice Hostel to stay in Santiago with a warm atmosphere and reasonable prices, there is no better place than Eco Hostel.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe with good transportation (buses and metro) and the Historic Centre is within walking distance.
Everything you need is walking distance: Restaurants, banks, laundry, bars, Museum, Santa Lucía Hill, big handicraft market (10 minutes), supermarket, pharmacies, buses, subway, hospital and others.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Ecohostel is homely, welcoming and friendly. The staff are always prepared to do that little bit extra to help their guests. Their attention to cleanliness and small details of comfort shows that they genuinely care about their guests and their hostel. All 5 of us felt very safe and comfortable at Ecohostel. Its location near the city centre, buses and metro is ideal as a base for exploring Santiago.

was GREAT as a 1st stop! People great>! Only reason for the 3* facilities was hot water a bit dodgy...ok tho´...and tv really loud at midnite so I had to stamp on floor in middle of night (yep - am óld-er´...earplugs great tho´!!
