About Backpackers Sunset

Welcome to Backpackers Sunset, your resort hostel in the island of magic.

Much more than a privileged spot to become a guest, surrounded by

exuberant nature, a dazzling view, the Backpackers Sunset offers complete

and innovative services , making your stay more comfortable, attractive

with lots of fun.

We are strategically located at the top of Praia do Mole (Mole's beach)

hill, with panoramic view of Lagoa da Conceição (Conceição Lagoon), where

you can enjoy a beautiful scenery and a breathtaking sunset, just at a 5

minutes walk to Floripa's best beach. We are located in a 3.000m2 area, in

contact with nature and with more than 100 different species of native

flowers and trees.

The structure offers spacious leisure opened and closed areas, swimming

pool with our NEW Bamboo Bar, hydro massage tub in the ladies room,

hammocks for resting, fire area for special moments around the fireplace,

barbecue area, bar with panoramic view of the island's east side and a

young and enthusiastic staff to help you with any doubt and information

regarding the Santa Catarina island.

Also, at our home you can enjoy a delicious FREE breakfast with the best

view in town, and drink our dayly Free caipirinha during Sunset Time.

Besides, we have our own restaurant and bar, the Sunset Pub located at the

top of all structure, in a privileged place with an incredible view and

climatized environment. The Backpacker's Party Bus, is an American school

bus customized, that apart from offering the guests the option to get to

know Florianópolis, through tours, offers adventure and fun, like the

night life , and discounts in the best parties. A schedule of activities

involving sports, ecology, culture and entertainment, with lots of music

and fun.

The Sunset Backpackers is 100m and 15 minutes walk from the most famous

beaches worldwide known as surf spots such as Joaquina and Praia do Mole .

Two sceneries among many others, that unite sports, thrill and lots of

beautiful people.

If you have any changes in your arrival time you must advise us 48 hrs before!
For new years, X-mas and carnaval, we need a 100% of a deposit to garantee your bed!Please contact us for more info about it.
Cancellations should be made at least 72hrs before your check in. We will cancel your booking if you do not arrive 2 hrs after your booking time.Not valid for X-Mas, NYE and Carnaval.
Also, payment on your arrival. Money is not refoundable.
Please, send us an email 1 day before your arrival to re-confirm!!
In case of no show or cancellation without notice, we will charge you for two nights.

Directios to Backpackers Sunset

Bus Station:

When you arrive at Florianópolis bus station, walk past the hustlers offering pousadas and telling that The Backpackers Sunset is closed, and straight out of the doors facing Floripa Centro. Turn right and five minutes walk to the south (past the bus terminal car park) is the local bus station. The bus to Lagoa da Conceicao leaves from the second-last stop at the end of the middle platform. This bus is #330 or #320. Ride this bus to the Lagoa Terminal. Here, change to bus #360 to Barra da Lagoa and ride to bus stop no 2 on the hilltop or ask to be dropped at Latitude Club. Cross the road, walk to the right to the first orange gate and ring the door bell!- Welcome to the Backpackers Sunset.
This journey should take 40 min and cost R$ 2, 95. Change is rare, so don't try to pay with a big bill. These blue buses run from 5.50 AM until 11.30 PM (occasional buses run later).

OR By taxi - Walk out the doors and ask a driver to take you to the hilltop of Praia Mole, next door to the club Latitude 27.Have atttention and make sure they drop you at our hostel, and not our sister hostel.
It will cost around R$ 50, 00.

From the airport

By bus - Walk out of the airport and go to the bus stop out the airport. Catch green bus #183 or #186 which comes every ten minutes. Written on the bus is Corredor do Sudoeste. Get off at the local bus station in Florianópolis and follow the directions from above. This bus will cost you R$ 1,60 and take you 25-30 minutes during rush hour. It runs from 5.30 AM until 12.30 PM.

OR By taxi - It will cost you around R$ 50,00, 40-50 minute ride. Ask a driver to take you to Praia Mole, next door to the club Latitude 27. It will cost around R$ 50, 00.
