We're one of the very few hostels in Beijing to have a real bar, so the atmosphere is great for meeting fellow travellers and other guests, and we have a full tours programme to take you to the must-see Great Wall plus a variety of spectacular shows that are guaranteed to impress. Anything you need and we'll do our very best to help! :)
Our friendly staff are enthusiastic and able to help you with everything: most have years' of youth hostel experience and are fluent in English as well as having leisure and tourism training and experience (some members are also qualified English tour guides).
All rooms are cleaned daily and well maintained, with reading lamps, bed curtains, lockers in the dorms and drawers/cupboards/hangers/shower rails (+free towels +free shampoo and body wash) + hot/cold air-conditioners and extra blankets or a heater if you need. We have a 'quiet policy' for late at night so you can sleep comfortably, as although it's a fun hostel we still know our guests need a good night's sleep :)
The hostel atmosphere is like a big family, being relaxed whilst being super-clean and tidy. There is a 24 hour reception + security and our staff are available around the clock to help with all your needs.

Accommodation Information
All rooms are clean, warm and comfy - newly renovated and decorated. All rooms are equipped with modern security key-card access doors, 24 hour hot water, TV, western toilet and shower, and hot/cold air-conditioning. We also offer free internet connection sockets in every room, and free wireless throughout the hostel.
Location Information
We are located to the north-east of the Forbidden City, 10 mins walk east to Wangfujing shopping street and further 20 mins walk onwards to Sanlitun Bar Street. Out of the hostel on the right is the Dongsi Metro Station, you will arrive in Tiananmen Square in 4 stops and also 4 stops straight down to the Temple of Heaven. This Metro connects all the important places of interest including the Capital Airport, Beijing Main Station, Summer Palace etc.
The hostel is also walking distance from the Forbidden City's North entrance and the famous JingShan Park, where from its hill top pagoda you can see amazing views over the Forbidden City and all of Beijing.

Brilliant staff who are perhaps the friendliest Chinese in China.
Good location - walking distance to Forbidden City, Tianamen Square and even the Natural History Museum if you have the right shoes on.
The restaurant/bar downstairs may have a limited selection of Chinese pop and early ninties techno music that seems to be on repeat 24/7, but the food is good fuel, the drink prices acceptable and the staff are great company.
I stayed in a single room, and was able to sprawl across two single beds pushed together. I was pleasantly surprised to find that even have body wash and shampoo provided in the bathroom. The only downfall was the shower - it had minimal pressure and made washing your hair and pain in the bum.
In terms of sightseeing - the staff can point you in any direction. The have a good tour to Mutianyu available, which includes breakfast (drinks you pay for extra), transport to and fro the destination in a 25 seater bus (or a very crammed 27 as it was the case for us) and a westernised Chinese lunch to dine on after your three hour allowance to explore the Great Wall.
The staff may encourage you to see a show when you book for the Wall but don't bother with the overpriced and badly seated Kung Fu Show if you are wanting a taste of some real martial arts - it is more of a singing, dancing spectacular with a bubble machine and shiny costumes.

a very welcoming hostel with enthusiastic staff, a great atmosphere and a great location. Had a very good stay, however if you wish to stay any extra be firm with the staff as they will tell you to come back later! Well recommended!

The staff was really nice, spoke great English, and was very helpful in helping to get your bearings. The beds were really comfortable. The menu in the bar/restaurant was pretty limited, but there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Great location. Just a word of warning: make sure you know how to get there on your own, even if you've got a train station pickup scheduled. I don't know if it was just an off day, but everybody who arrived the same day I did (including myself) had a botched pickup and had to find their own way there. But aside from a rough start it was a good place from which to explore the city.
