Good host, and good hostel.

Welcome to the Walkers Hostel, situated on the outskirts of the market town of Ulverston, which is on the Furness peninsula in South Cumbria within 15 miles of the Lake District National Park.
The hostel provides affordable accommodation for visitors to Ulverston and the Lake District and is a perfect base to enjoy local tourist attractions like the Laurel and Hardy museum, South Lakes Wild Animal and the various attractions of the Lake District National Park. As well as the many tourist attractions on offer, the hostel is also ideally located for lovers of the outdoors, whether you like a gentle stroll in the lakes or seek the adrenalin of outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, kayaking and rock climbing.
Our Hostel has 30 beds with between 2 and 8 beds to a room, bedding is included. There are male and female shower rooms but bring your own towels.
Self service light breakfast available from 7:00 am until 8.30 am. The hostel is closed daily from 9.30 am - 4.00pm. There is a no smoking policy in the hostel and grounds, a cycle lock up, drying facilities and an open fire. Tea and coffee provided free for the duration of your stay.
We are happy to help get the most from your stay and have maps, guide books and other useful information to hand.

Directions
From the train station at Ulverston turn left onto springfield road and at the traffic lights on the A590 (main road) turn right. Continue down the A590 until you come to the local Booth's Supermarket, we are situated behind the Texaco Petrol Station on the far side of the roundabout.
If travelling by car on the A590 from the motorway follow signs for Barrow. Continue along A590 until you reach the outskirts of Ulverston, our hostel can be easily identifies by a large pair of Walking Boots painted on the side, then turn left at next roundabout between Texaco Petrol Station and Booths Supermarket, follow the road round past the Petrol station and turn left then left again. The hostel car park is at the end of a short road with bollards at the end.
