This was a gem of a place! Beautifully decorated, very very clean, tasteful. Was a relief to get back here after day sightseeing. And found it easy to get around, walked down to junction then jumped on one of the buses that seemed to come every few minutes.
The food was amazing, so fresh and healthy. Am not a vegetarian but loved the food anyway. The staff were great! Very efficient, reliable, kept the place very clean, gardens were lovely.
Meant to stay for one night, but stayed for over a week! When I come back to complete my research I will definitely stay here again, they offered me a good discount. Just had such a brilliant time. Thanks!
I stayed in Legassi Gardens for two months and it was fantastic. The place is owned by Nana Kwame Gayle, who is a very personable gentlemen. He would come by to check on me if he hadn't seen me in a few days. When I became ill, he came by with tea and remedies that absolutely made me feel 100% better. Madame Gayle was also very friendly, her willingness to engage made me feel very welcome.
The staff at the Gardens are incredible. I spent more time with Agyiengo, the guide, then with anybody else during my first three weeks. He was very patient with me and had wonderful suggestions about places to go. I would not have been able to learn how to navigate the public transport without Agyiengo. He even accompanied me to a reggae concert on the beach. Agyiengo was a great friend and an incredible resource, I will miss him very much.
The cooks, Lawson and Moses, are very reliable and open to modifications to the meals. Jozef is very thorough and punctual about cleaning the room and doing laundry.
The place is safe, I left my computer out in the living room all day, often without even locking my door. The bed is very comfortable and the staff changes the sheets often. My accommodations had a large living room, with two bed rooms and a spacious bathroom, all of which were cleaned twice weekly.
The grounds are beautiful. Coming back from the city to the serenity of the hotel was always a relief. I wholeheartedly recommend Legassi Gardens for anybody looking for a quiet place to stay just outside of Accra for any period of time.

I hate to give a poor review to nice people, but in the end, I can't give great ratings for "effort". When I booked this place, its location was grossly misrepresented. On many booking sites it was pinned in the Accra city center. This could never be so far from the truth. Had I known just how far out it was, i'd have never booked. Between the normal public transport woes and road construction, it literally took me 3 hours to make it to the city center. The only way I would rank this a good location is if you do not plan on doing anything inside Accra, even then though, the ongoing construction on the major roads surrounding the area don't even make it good for a jumping-off point now or anytime in the near future. I realize road construction is not the fault of the guest house. Misrepresentation and lack of offering solutions is. The rooms themselves are sufficient and clean. The food is excellent and reasonable. The people are very nice. I found it hugely overpriced for what it was though and it's location and with similar places in the region.
We are sorry to hear that you had such a disappointing stay at Legassi Gardens Apt. Travellerspoint had mapped the property's location based on its address, but unfortunately this turned out to be incorrect. We have since corrected the map and verified this with the management at Legassi Gardens Apt.
