This great location is enhanced by the wonderful hosts and staff of Hostel 5. A great deal that includes a delicious 'hot' breakfast. Beds were comfortable and the showers hot, once you figure out how to work the boiler switch on the shower head. Blanca makes everyone feel like they are her best friends visiting and pretty soon - you are.

Our hostel is located only 3 blocks from the Central Park and a block from the Arch street in Antigua. Also we are located near popular bars and clubs and there a few excellent restaurants nearby.
Our hostel is a very clean and modern place to stay. Join friends at our beautiful bar or dine in our little restaurant which offers intense cuisine at a very affordable price. We offer a daily Happy Hour and fresh smoothies.
We play free movies everyday and offer a huge selection of board games, you just might get yourself into a heated game of UNO with some of our staff!.
Every dorm room has an attached bathroom with hot showers. Three dorms have their own private TV with cable.
We also have a roof top terrace with a great view of the volcanoes and skyline. So stop in at Hostel 5, we will take care of you!
Please note: The 10% deposit paid online is commission that is paid directly towards hostelworld.com. You´ll have to pay Taxes on your remaining balance according to Guatemalan Tax Law (INGUAT).
If you need Airport Pick-Up, please contact us at our email adress. There is a 48 hrs cancellation period for all Airport Shuttles. After this time you will still be charged.
Please make sure about your time of arrival because we will only hold your bed 2 hrs after your set time of arrival. After this time we are obligated to give your bed away.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and clean. It's also relatively quiet, which is good if you're trying to catch a good night's sleep, but not if you're looking to party.

I stayed here for just 2 nights b4 doing a Spanish Course here in Antigua. It was very clean, the rooms were quite abit cramped though, not much space at all to move around or put your bags. Staff were helpful. Overall the hostel is quite small, but clean and nice.
Stayed in antigua for 12 days all up and at hostal 5 the whole time,the owners were amazing loads of personality ,willing to help you with anything and created a home away from home atmosphere.Location was good only a small walk to alot of the towns bars and resturants,i found it good because it wasn't a party hostel you can go out and have your fun but when you return to the hostel there's no one keeping you up!When i stayed the rooms were clean and great value but the most important quality of this place was it's atmosphere making it easy to meet people and feel right at home from the outset .This is a great hostel in a great town ,i would recommend this place to anyone and will be returning in the future

Half block from the LA MERCED Church going east, first left, going north. Close to Restaurant 'Palacio de la India'. Opposite of Colonial Laundry. Ask for souvenirs at the Laundromat!
