Is a 4 Star **** Extended Stay Hotel located in Lake Atitlán, near the town of Panajachel, in Guatemala. The property has wooded areas and coffee groves, gardens and a private beach for guests.

The hotel has fully furnished and equipped town houses of special architecture that can lodge from four to six guests very comfortably.

We also have suites for two and hotel rooms for single or double occupancy. Our facilities include bar and restaurant, heated pool, Mayan Sauna or Tuj, Jacuzzi, and resting areas on the lake front. I you wish you can rent a bicycle to ride on the roads, paths and trails of the Old Hacienda San Buenaventura.

The lake is ideal for water sports. At the hotel you can rent kayaks at the beach. We also have a dock and boat services for visiting the indigenous towns around the lake.

A few minutes walk from the hotel you will find Atitlán Nature Reserve that has a butterfly preserve, trails that go through the coffee grove, woods, areas with animals, and hanging bridges that will lead you to a waterfall.

We are 2 kilometers from the town of Panajachel where you can go shopping, or go to bars and restaurants, some with live music entertainment.

Hotel San Buenaventura de Atitlán has a restaurant and bar located in Casa del Rio. The restaurant has a varied menu both for adults and children and the bar serves a variety of soft drinks, juice, and national and imported liquors. Room service is available when the restaurant and bar are in service.

The swimming pool is open to guests and visitors. There is no lifeguard on duty so we recommend caution when using the pool. The sauna is heated by firewood and has a cold shower just outside. It is located at the beach area for those that want to interrupt the sauna with a dip in the lake. The Jacuzzi has a magnificent view of the lake. Children should be supervised when using the pool, Jacuzzi or sauna.
