Locanda di Firenze is located on the third floor with lift of an eighteenth century Palace in the historical center of Florence, at only 50 metres from the splendid Medici Chapels and very close to all the others principal city's museums, churches and monuments and very near to the central train station of Firenze S.M. Novella and Duomo.
There are 6 bedrooms with private bathroom, TV, telephone, air conditioning and minibar.
In the morning we serve breakfast in your room from 8,00 to 10,30 a.m.
Guests have got a key set for the maximum independence and they will feel like at home.

The Hotel was centraly located with only about a 5 minute minute walk from the train station. There was lift to the 3rd floor thank goodness and the rooms were nice and clean and the staff were courtious and helpful.
We did notice a bit of a pungent odor in the office area whan we arrived and I thought that maybe they had been cooking or something, but the smell (like boiled cabbage and vinegar)didn't disappear. Every so often the toilet would make gurgelling noises and the shower used to flood a bit, made me suspect that they may have drainage problems. The use of automatic de-odorizers in the rooms also so added to my suspisions. Besides that it was a very convenient place to stay and reasonably priced for Italy, but the drainage problems do need fixing.

Locanda di Firenze was a great place to stay. Right in the heart of Florence and so easy to get around on foot. The rooms were huge and the bed comfortable. We had our own bathroom which was large and a small fridge. The only thing that was not good was a bad odour that nearly made me vomit- this was present from the end of our first day there and remained till we left (2 nights). Not sure if it was something from the kitchen but it resembled off cauliflower - eww!!
Overall this place is great value and in a superb location. Give it a try!!
