About Mida Ecocamp

Mida Ecocamp is nestled between the Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, the mangrove coast of Mida Creek and the friendly homesteads of the Giriama tribesmen. Its platform bar/restaurant offers scenic views over forest and coast and has been a hit with birdwatchers or people, who just want to relax in a totally peaceful environment.
Our food are Giriama specialities prepared on two large fires in a clean tiled kitchen and have been very popular.
Accommodation is in form of three traditional huts with yet clean sheets and mosquito-nets or for the self-sufficient travellers on our two campsites.
In the evenings, one could book the Giriama Dancers for a performance - they are not a show-troup, they are the real thing!
And during daytime, there are 7 excursions, that can be undertaken, from canoe-rides to a visit to the Giriama village with a taster of coconut-wine.

Directions
Mida Ecocamp is a short stroll (about 200 metres) from the B8, Malindi-Mombasa Road. It is 100 km North from Mombasa, 20 km South of Malindi and 5km South from Gede. Watamu is only 8 km away.
Matatus and buses drive past Mida Creek, and a Tuc-Tuc from Malindi should cost no more than 1000 Ksh.
