My room was HUGE, very affordable, and right in the center of town.
The owner, Arturo, and his wife could not have been more friendly and helpful.
The hostel is in abuilding that is 124 years old so its a little crumbly but the atmosphere was great!

Hostel Casa del Angel is located in the very heart of Guanajuatos historic district. Less than two blocks from the Plaza de la Paz and public bus access, its perfectly situated within walking distance of the Mueso de Pueblo, the Diego Rivera Museum, the University of Guanajuato and the many other attractions that make this UNESCO World Heritage Site such a popular destination.The hostal, a converted 150-year-old authentic Mexican home, exudes the relaxing charm that is inescapable in this city known as the Capital de Beso or the Capitol of kisses. With suites, private rooms with a shared bath, and dormitory style accommodations, Hostal Casa del Angel has something to meet the needs of every budget minded traveler.Reservations made to stay at Easter (from 23rd March to 1st April 2013) and Cervantes International Festival ( From 1st October to 30th October) will be confirmed at the hostel through the deposit of the total stay in the bank account of the Hostel. Once we receive your booking confirmation, we will contact you to provide our bank details.

The general atmosphere is really very pleasant. The decoration and the tranquillity of the place, allow to spend a stay in the comfort. The owners are charming persons who will help you with the smile.

it does not exist anymore, it is fraud... i lost ten bux in reservations...
now at the same place is Hostel del Santuario, great place nice people...
