I would stay here again. The room was clean, sheets were fresh and changed daily. The balcony from my room was nice and I used it every day to see the morning start, people coming in and walking by. I enjoyed the breakfast downstairs just about every morning.

I would stay here again. The room was clean, sheets were fresh and changed daily. The balcony from my room was nice and I used it every day to see the morning start, people coming in and walking by. I enjoyed the breakfast downstairs just about every morning. The desk manager was extremely helpful arranging flights and rooms at other cities and helping me get around. The manager made the hotel feel like home and a sanctuary from the crazy bustle and horns of the city. The location, right off one of the main roads through Thamel, was nice and quite.
The power shedding issue the whole country has to face is problematic. The outages seem random. Talking to some expats there, it seems like there may be relief in about 5yrs. The 10yrs of fighting put a dent in the material progress of the country and into the lives and welfare of the Nepali people. If the hotel invested in a larger generator, the hotel patrons would not notice the outages at all. I may be naive about the subject so I'll stop here.
I stayed when the rain had stopped (perfect sunny weather every day) and the nights weren't too cold. It was a great stay.
