Budget Accommodation Europe Portugal Lisbon Hostels Living Lounge Hostel
I cannot recommend the Living Lounge Hostel highly enough!!! I stayed for 2 nights in one of the single rooms. The staff were all warm, friendly and unfailingly helpful. The hostel itself is beautifully designed, with excellent facilities.

It is a question that has always plagued the creative mind: Does life reflect art or does art reflect life?
Living Lounge, recently voted the third best hostel on Hostelworld, takes hostel art and traveling life to a whole new level.
Each double, single and dorm room at the hostel is a
unique work of art, having been individually designed by local artists to reflect different elements of Lisbon's rich culture. Although every room is different, they have all been crafted with the same goal in mind:
providing our guests with supreme comfort, security and style during their stay.
Our hostel features a luxurious and spacious downstairs lounge area, providing the perfect place to sip a drink, listen to music and meet people from around the world. Upstairs we have a peaceful indoor garden room, a lovely place to bring a book and relax. Our guests are welcome to use our free WiFi internet, and our friendly staff can provide you with free maps and any tourist info you might need.
Living Lounge is a project from the same group of Portuguese friends who own and operate the multi-award winning Lisbon Lounge Hostel. With Living Lounge, we bring you the same high standards of quality and design but with an exciting new artistic concept.
Living Lounge is located in the heart of Lisbon's tourist centre, right on the border between the ritzy Chiado district and the historic Baixa. The Baixa-Chiado metro station is literally right across the street, and it is only a quick train ride to Lisbon's nearest beaches or a short stumble to Lisbon's best nightlife area - the Bairro Alto. We also provide a range of free activities, including nightlife tours and daytime walking tours.
With piece-of-cake public transport access, you'll have no problem finding us. We look forward to providing you with an unforgettable stay in Lisbon.
Please note that normally we do not accept groups in excess of 8 people, and normally we have an age limit of 50 years old. For special requests, please contact us directly.

The hostel itself is beautifully designed, with excellent facilities. Fantastic value for money, and puts many hotels to shame! I can also recommend the "Lisbon Lounge Hostel" the sister hostel just around the corner, some of our friends stayed there and had an equally enjoyable stay.

This is not an ordinary hostel, this is a boutique hostel. Wonderful people and excellent service. It felt like we were staying at a friend's house with all the convenience and service of a hotel. Wonderful dinners and the pancakes on Sunday morning was a real treat.

It looked really nice! The room was very nice and well looked after Thanks! The people were friendly! It was a shame I only really stayed for the night. I would have liked to join your breakfast and see the rest of the hostel!

Living Lounge hostel is by far one of the best hostels we've ever stayed in. First of all it's absolutely beautiful! Like staying in an art gallery. All the rooms were decorated differently and were all super clean and comfortable. The kitchen is gorgeous. They could use another fridge though as it was super packed when we stayed there. The nightly dinners available for 8 Euros (3 courses with wine included) are an absolute MUST. The free walking tour was amazing as it was free and extremely informative. The staff at the hostel are so nice and helpful. The bar sold cheap beers and did nightly cocktails which were delicious. We would never hesitate to stay here again! It was more like a boutique hotel than a hostel.
