About Loft Hostel

THE LOFT is not only a hostel.
As you know, the guest houses and hostels in China are all nearly in a similar situation. This time we did something to be different. We found an antiquated building in what used to be a printing factory -- we spent 7 months redeveloping it into a cool and cosy hostel. To give Loft Hostel a unique look, we have many works by young local artists on display, and frequently hold art exhibitions.
OUR MISSION is to assist backpacking tourists in planning their visit to Chengdu through providing easy-to-understand, useful and quality Chengdu travel content and products. We will be happy to help with all your needs.
About Staff in the Loft Hostel
We are proud to have a really enthusiastic Staff Team, most of whom have worked here for more than two years already.
All staff are travel lovers.They work hard with their passion and professionalism in the peak season, and travel and stay in other hostels in China to obtain more experience of hostels in the off season.
All receptionists have very good English speaking, like Joyce, William, Elva and Kitty. They
are friendly, helpful, knowlegable and will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
There are a lot of FREE amusement facilities in the Loft: Pool table, DVD movies, UNO cards, Darts, Chinese and International Chess, Weiqi( Go Chess), Chinese Checkers, Gobang, San Guo Sha (Killers of the Three Kingdom Cards), Internet (Games),etc.
Loft hostel has a relatively relaxed work environment, so in our spare time, we all love to hang out in the hostel and share travelling stories or play UNO Cards and Chinese Chess with our guests.
It's a good life just chilling out in a comfortable sofa in our warm lobby - since our CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM WILL BE ON 24 HOURS keeping you warm no matter where you are in the LOFT.
About Activites in the Loft Hostel
Every Friday night is our PARTY night in off season. We will supply FREE FOOD and teach you how to make local food, such as Sichuan hotpot, stick hotpot, mutton soup, jiaozi ( Dumpling), barbecue,etc.
By the way, there will be a BIG X'MAS PARTY in the LOFT soon.
We look forward to spending our Friday night together!
About location of Loft hostel
We are in the right downtown..
Two minutes to nearby Bank of China, WoWo 24 hours Minimart, Drug Store.
Five minutes walking to Kuan Lane Walking area.
Ten minutes walking to People's park, nearby Renren Le Supermarket.
Fifteen mimutes walking to downtown Mao' Statue and Shopping area.
There are also nearby city buses to Panda Breading Centre, Wen Shu Temple, Xin Nanmen Tourist Bus Station, Tianfu Square, Airport Shuttle Bus 303, Computer Street,etc.
When you arrive in the Loft, you're welcome to take a FREE POCKET MAP on the reception. We have already marked everything that may be useful in Chengdu on the map.

Directions
From Chengdu North Train Station / 成都火车北站 to Loft Hostel
By Bus:
Take the number 54 bus from the stop near the train station. The bus costs 2 yuan and usually takes around 20 minutes if the traffic is OK. Get off at Huai Shu Jie West Stop (槐树街西站, 'K' on map). The hostel is about 5/10 minutes walk from here. Go down Huai Shu Jie (槐树街), turn right down Tong Ren Lu (同仁路), Xiao Tong Xiang (小通巷) is on your left.
By Taxi:
There is a taxi rank outside the train station. Tell the driver to take you to Zhong Tong Ren Lu, Xiao Tong Xiang (中同仁路, 小通巷四号). The journey should cost no more than 15 Yuan and takes around 12 minutes if the traffic is OK.
From Loft Hostel to Chengdu North Train Station / 成都火车北站
By Bus:
Take the number 54 bus from Huai Shu Jie East stop (槐树街东站, 'L' on map) near the hostel. The bus costs 2 yuan and usually takes around 20 minutes if the traffic is OK.
By Taxi:
You can usually catch a taxi from Chang Shun Jie (长顺街) near the hostel but you might need to wait a while in rush hour. The journey to the station should cost no more 15 Yuan and takes around 12 minutes if the traffic is OK.
From Airport to Loft Hostel
Pick-up service:
Book either by phone or email, we will be waiting for you at the exit with your name and our smile! The cost is 70 Yuan for a minivan which can carry 6 people without big luggage.
By Shuttle
Take 303 shuttle to the final station, Jin Xing Lu Xi(锦兴路西）(10 Yuan for one person). From there, take a taxi to our hostel. The taxi should cost around 13 Yuan.
By Taxi:
A direct taxi costs around 50 Yuan. Tell the driver to take you to Zhong Tong Ren Lu, Xiao Tong Xiang (中同仁路, 小通巷四号)
