Hotel Ruch is a friendly family owned hotel opposite the Sheraton in Kampala with an amazing garden. I stayed for 4 nights and am very happy with what i got for the money. You get a small but clean room and its pretty close to the center of Kampala. They also have a great local guide/driver called Francis who showed me Kampala and all the local places. I am very happy to have seen sides of Uganda that i didnt expect and did not fit with the image i had before getting there.

Hotel Ruch is a friendly family owned hotel opposite the Sheraton in Kampala with an amazing garden. I stayed for 4 nights and am very happy with what i got for the money. You get a small but clean room and its pretty close to the center of Kampala. They also have a great local guide/driver called Francis who showed me Kampala and all the local places. I am very happy to have seen sides of Uganda that i didnt expect and did not fit with the image i had before getting there.
By the reception they have an internet corner which allows you to check E-mails and your next trips even if the connection is slow.
On site they have an indian restaurant that is quite pricey. Good food but if you dont want indian every night you need to get to the city.
I can definitely recommend Hotel Ruch.
