We booked a double room premium and I am afraid that I feel it didn't worth the price. It was a nice room, fairly clean with a tiny balcony and a view on a rusty iron corrogated shed. Internet was very slow, the breakfast was ok. The staff was lovely, but the overall experience was overpriced.

Welcome to El Viajero Hostels Uruguay & Colombia, the biggest Hostel and B&B network in the best locations of Uruguay (Colonia, Montevideo, Punta del Este and La Pedrera) and of Colombia (Cartagena de Indias and in September 2011 San Andres Island).
We invite you to our Bed and Breakfast in Colonia del Sacramento, 400 mts away from the bus station, just 100mts away from Colonia\'s famous historic quarter (declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1995) and in front of the \'Río de la Plata\'.
Located in front of the \'Rio de la Plata\', it has 14 double rooms and twin rooms all ensuite and with HVAC, cable TV, Wi-Fi & Internet.
We organize activities for you, both inside and outside the B&B: asados and typical foods, walking tours, horse-riding at the countryside and at the beach, visits to museums, wineries, national parks, tourist ranches and the cheese shops that elaborate the renowned cheese from Colonia Suiza.
Colonia del Sacramento is considered the most beautiful city in Uruguay, due to the Historical Town and its museums, the Plaza Mayor with its restaurants, the Iglesia Matriz (the oldest church in Uruguay), the lighthouse: which you will find perfect for sightseeing; the old city, the beaches, the countryside and the national parks.

We booked a double room premium and I am afraid that I feel it didn't worth the price. It was a nice room, fairly clean with a tiny balcony and a view on a rusty iron corrogated shed. Internet was very slow, the breakfast was ok. The staff was lovely, but the overall experience was overpriced. We had a 10% increase on our bill because we paid by card, it would have been nice to be aware of it before so we could have some cash ready. All together it ended at 60£ for a night, I would have happily paid 35£. I don't think I will come back.

Welcoming English speaking staff, great location 400m to ferry and 200m to old town. Double bed room had a sweet little balcony to sit in sun over courtyard in. Only negative was bathroom tap was loose, and budget toilet paper. Colonia was lovely but one afternoon/evening was enough to see all the sights.
