La Posada al Sur is located in the heart of Ciudad Vieja, historical and colonial downtown Montevideo.
Note that the inn is the first point of information and practice of Responsible and Sustainable Tourism in Uruguay, the inn features the declaration of interest of the National Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Italian Responsible Tourism Network ViaggieMiraggi.
The construction of the building of the inn dating from the late nineteenth century and has been completely restored. This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We stayed in the appartment on the rooftop which was really great.
The only thing was that the heating didn't keep up with the cold wheather outside.
For those who think "Ciudad Vieja" means nicely kept and renovated bildings I have to warn you.
The part of the town where the hostel is located is near the harbour, a bit untidy and therefor is a little unsecure in the evenings.

Nice place for sleeping and staying, breakfast is not so good but it seems to be normal in Uruguay and Argentina, is good idea to get wine and beer an enjoy the amazing terrace.
