The facilities boasted on the website were not available yet and meant that there was no laundry, kitchen or lounge area.
Staff were helpful but since they changed all the time it made matters worse. I arrived early in the morning and was allocated my room only to find that it was marked private and I had to get out of my bed and into another room.
I alos found that I had paid $25 dollars per night and others walking in off the street paid only $18 yet they would not give me any refund.

We are located in the 'High End Hotel Corridor' of South Beach Miami where you will find tons of culture where many tourists come to South Beach simply to get a taste of the world. Just steps away from the Lincoln Road Mall and Espanola Way. Many places stay open late to cater to the nightlife crowd. Come enjoy world class beaches, dining, shopping and nightclubs such as Mynt, Mokai and Rokbar, and Aerobar which is just a 5 minute walk at the most. The large public library, Miami Beach Ballet, Miami Bass Museum of Art, Botanical Gardens, and Holocaust Museum is all within a 3 block radius. And the beach, with its warm water, suitable for night swimming, which guest seem to love, as well as getting a tan in the day, is only 1 block away.

2.Our dormitory style rooms hold 4, 6 or 8 guests per room. We offer Mixed Dorm rooms and female dorms. We also offer private rooms and double rooms, which are subject to availability.

We are Located in the HARRISON HOTEL, at 411 Washington Avenue. The Hostel entrance is located on 4th Street, between Washington and Collins Ave.
NOTE: Enter through the WHITE GATE on 4th Street, between Washington and Collins Ave.
We are just 10 miles from Miami International Airport.
Transportation:
From Miami International Airport:
* Public Bus -- Take the J bus to 41st Street and Sheridan Avenue where you should transfer to Bus M. Get off Bus M at 4th Street and Washington Ave.
* Taxi -- about $32.
* Super shuttle -- about $22 per person.
* Rent a Car -- see kiosks at airport for information or visit these car rental agency websites to book a car rental online: Dollar.com, Enterprise.com, or Thrifty.com. The front desk can also assist you with car rentals once you arrive.
From Miami Amtrak Train Station:
* Public Bus -- Take the L bus to Lincoln Road and transfer to the Electowave shuttle bus (25 cents) going south. Tell the driver you want to get off at 4th Street and Washington Ave. .NOTE: Enter through the WIGHT GATE on 4th Street, between Washington and Collins Ave.
From Miami Greyhound Bus Station at 4111 NW 27th Street:
* Public Bus -- Walk one block west to Le Jeune Road (27th Street and 42nd Avenue) and get on the metro bus marked 'J BEACH.' This bus will take you to 41st and Sheridan Avenue where you should transfer to Bus M. Get off Bus M at 4th Street and Washington Ave.
By Car:
* Take I-95 south to 395 East, this will take you over the bay on the MacArthur Causeway. As you come off the ramp you will be on 5th St. heading east. Continue in that direction for a 1/2 mile , take a right on Washington Avenue. The hostel is located at 411 Washington Ave, NOTE:Enter through the WIGHT GATE on 4th Street, between Washington and Collins Ave.
