The Maqai crew is a young, funloving group of remarkable locals who wish to share their island homeland with their guests.
Eco-Bures:
With its back to the jungle laden mountainside, Beach front Eco-Bures are furnished with comfy dressed beds, rainwater flush toilets, rainwater showers and are just a few meters from the ocean. Available in singles, twins, doubles and triple-share dorms.
Food and Drink:
Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are provided using a combination of vegetables harvested fresh from our on-sight organic garden as well as from the local farmer's markets. Freshly caught seafood is often on the menu. Daily baking of breads and collection of Maqai fruits. Meal inspirations and recipes come from the local Fijian village home as well as popular favorites across the globe. On special occasions, the Maqai crew do a Lovo night or a big BBQ feast. Should you want privacy, meals can be served directly to your front porch.

Surfing
Maqai Beach overlooking 3 exclusive surf breaks with more in close proximity. Great uncrowded waves! Season is best from november to may when the tradewinds are not blowing.
Snorkeling
Amazing!! Snorkel straight off the beach or take a boat to the outer reef .
Adventure Trips
Boats are available for trips to remote islands, villages, waterfalls and a natural water slide!
Water Sports
Kayak, scurf, wake board and bogeyboard.
Island Sport
The locals love sports. Join in the games of rugby, volleyball, table tennis, frisbee etc.

Guests must first make their way to Taveuni (The Garden Island). This trip from the mainland can be done by boat or plane. Ferries and scenic flights leave regularly from both Nadi and Suva bound for Taveuni.

After you book with Maqai Beach, we will email you and arrange transfers from Taveuni to Maqai Beach. It's easy! If you would like, our driver can meet you when you arrive on Taveuni. He will bring you to our Taveuni boat landing and charges F$15 from the airport or F$35 from the ferry wharf. Otherwise, make your way to the boat landing on Taveuni's east coast (Navakacoa Landing). The boat can be pre-arranged for your FREE boat transfer to Maqai Beach.
