WHO WE ARE
A modern hostel built within a traditional 1950 Shop-House styled, City Backpackers Hostel II serves and meets the needs of a backpacker and travelers alike. The hostel is run by a small group of friendly hosts, ready to dispense advice and help that you may need.
ACCOMODATION
Our beds are comfortable and we provide you the basic ammenities that you will need, including linen, your own security locker, hot water showers and rooms are fully air-conditioned. We take cleanliness seriously and we also provide free internet in the common area at our reception.
RECEPTION
Our reception opens from 9.30am to midnight daily and all access is secured via swipe cards / key entry at all time. There is no curfew and there is ample opportunity to make new friends or exchange travel tips with people here. We stock a mini-drink / snack area for your personal item needs or Beer!
LOCATION / TRAVELING
We are very close to the city and located just opposite an MRT (subway) station. Getting here from the airport is not only easy but cheap when taking the train. We have a small reading collection and brochures on travel and tourist attractions, in addition to bus ticketing to Malaysia.

1. Bugis Shopping Center (2 trains stops away) 5-10mins
2. Bugis Street Bazaar
3. Geylang Serai and Malay Village (lots of food and fruits, Malay cultural heritage center)
4. Near City Hall, Esplanade (arts center)
5. Near Clark Quay/ Boat Quay more known for nightlife, pubs and discos.
6. Near Kallang River, singapore river, Indoor Stadium

2. Payment is by Cash only in local currency. Key Deposits apply (refundable on return of keys)
3. Luggage storage is free up to 6pm on check-out day. A small charge applies for extended luggage storage periods.

1. Cancellations must be done 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so or No Shows will be charged with the first night's stay.
2. For modifications to booking or cancellations, please email us early.

Directions
- By MRT Train / Subway We are located at Kallang MRT (Station EW10 on the East-West line / Green Line). From the airport, a single journey cost about S$1.50 by Train (ticket deposit applies). Take the train from Terminal 2 or 3 basement. Follow station instructions closely and get of at the 8th stop. Takes about 20-25 minutes. Stops operating daily around midnight.
Find us: Come out of the MRT STation, turn right. Cross the road, head away from the MRT station along Lor 1 Geylang. First side road on your left is Jalan Ayer. During the day you will see bright umbrellas, we are near.. At night, just look out for our signboard lit up.
- By Taxi / Cab
From the airport, catch one outside your terminal building. Try to avoid the white limo (Mercedes) as you will pay at least double. Normal ones is approximately S$9-S$15 to get here depending on traffic and after midnight it will cost about $18-23. Takes about 20 minutes to get here.
Tell the Driver: Go to Lorong 1 Geylang Road (opposite Kallang MRT). We are situated in a side road just off this road called Jalan Ayer. During the day you will see bright umbrellas, we are near..get off and walk. At night, just look out for our signboard lit up.
