Important Information

Conditions

Our guest rooms are former houses built 60 years ago and fully restored. They were designed in 'Shyoin-zukuri' style. 'Shyoin-zukuri' is not only a traditional Japanese style, but also very popular style until not long ago. It is a style for residents and composed of 'Tokono-ma' (space built into the wall), 'Engawa' (Japanese porch), 'Tatami' (Japanese flooring), and some fixtures such as 'Fusuma' and 'Shyouji' (Japanese sliding doors made of paper). This style was invented in Medieval times. We restored the 3 buildings based on our research of 'Shyoin-zukuri' !
