About Nikko Inn

Nikko Inn is traditional Japanese style accommodation located in a farm village. The buildings were designed by NIKKO DESIGN Ltd. Here you may find many small things to be very interesting things you might have overlooked in your daily life. While Japanese people love to import western culture, their own culture is magnificent and has always had a great influence on westerners. Nikko Inn would like to help Japanese people rediscover Japan and foreigners experience Japanese culture. Therefore, we want to provide many services to our guests with the keyword of \'Hello Japan!\'.

Farm village, just around Nikko Inn, is called Satoyama in Japanese. Satoyama is nurtured by Japanese culture existing human and nature together in harmony and one of the typical sceneries of Japan. We offer some Satoyama walking and cycling courses.

Our guest rooms are designed in \'Shyoin-zukuri\' style. \'Shyoin-zukuri\' is very popular Japanese style until not long ago. It is a style for residents and composed of \'Tatami\' (Japanese flooring), \'Engawa\' (Japanese porch), and some fixtures such as \'Fusuma\' and \'Shyouji\' (Japanese sliding doors made of paper). Through staying at our cottage, we would like you to experience the beauty of a traditional Japanese house.

Our aim is to provide our guests not the life-style from old times, but the Japanese life-style that suites the modern age. We want our guests to enjoy their stay and feel comfortable, so we choose equipment very carefully, and make sure the rooms are kept very clean (we clean the guest room by using alcohol). Also, in the guest rooms, we have placed state-of- the-art toilets, wireless internet, Air tunes, a superb built in speaker system (which you can use with your portable audio player), etc.... We welcome all foreign guests especially who are interested in Japan and Japanese culture. We try to give any information in English.

We have three guest cottages named \'Ume\', \'Momo\' and \'Sakura\'.

Each cottage is for one group of guests and has private kitchen facilities. Mini kitchen with kitchen utensils and cookware. Bidet toilet(Full auto).Bath and shower. Wireless LAN. iPad. Built-in speakers.

Adding to a room charge, facility charge is required on the first day and every 4th day.

Facility charge;

Ume: 4,500yen

Momo: 3,000yen

Sakua: 3,000yen

Important Information

Conditions

Our guest rooms are former houses built 60 years ago and fully restored. They were designed in 'Shyoin-zukuri' style. 'Shyoin-zukuri' is not only a traditional Japanese style, but also very popular style until not long ago. It is a style for residents and composed of 'Tokono-ma' (space built into the wall), 'Engawa' (Japanese porch), 'Tatami' (Japanese flooring), and some fixtures such as 'Fusuma' and 'Shyouji' (Japanese sliding doors made of paper). This style was invented in Medieval times. We restored the 3 buildings based on our research of 'Shyoin-zukuri' !
