Carr-Saunders is set just off the Tottenham Court Road in the very heart of London. With both Oxford and Regent Street a short walk away, Carr Saunders has always been a popular destination for those wishing to explore London's West End, with it shopping, theatres and museums.

NEW FOR 2009! In response to customer demand we have made a number of 'Economy Rooms' available at Carr-Saunders. Economy Twins and Economy Doubles will be available. These rooms work out at just £24.50 per person per night including breakfast! The economy doubles contain a 4' wide double bed and the economy twins contain two 3' wide single beds.

Whatever the purpose of your trip staying here will mean that you are always close to the many sights and sites that make London famous.

Carr-Saunders Hall provides accommodation for over 150 people in single or twin private rooms. Bed linen, towels and your choice of Full English or Continental Breakfast are all included in the price. There are toilets, baths and showers on each floor as well as small kitchens for the preparation of hot drinks and snacks.

Our friendly reception is open 8.00am and 10.00pm. Overnight reception is staffed by security staff. Check-in is normally between 2pm and 9pm, however bags can be stored for early arrivals and late check-ins can easily be arranged.

Carr-Saunders is a Hall of Residence owned and Managed by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It is open to the public during the university vacations offering great value central London accommodation. We are happy to accept guests of all ages however guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please note; there is building work taking in some buildings neighbouring Carr-Saunders. The contractors have agreed to a strict code of conduct restricting the times when noisy work can take place, and as such disruption should be minimal.

CHECK-IN IS NORMALLY BETWEEN 2PM AND 9PM. Late check-in is not a problem but if possible please contact us in advance, by phone. Early check-in is not currently possible.

CHECK-OUT IS BEFORE 10AM.

LUGGAGE STORAGE: If you arrive into London before check-in or need to leave after check-out limited luggage storage is available, on a first come first served basis. Please contact reception.

MINORS - We do not accept unaccompanied minors (those unde the age of 18)

ECONOMY ROOMS - Economy double rooms contain a 4' bed (a small double). Economy twin rooms contain two 3' single beds.

Carr-Saunders couldn't be better located a short journey from London's major airports and mainline stations. 6 underground stations are within just 10 minutes walk bringing the whole of London within easy reach!

LOCAL UNDERGROUND STATIONS

Warren Street (Victoria and Northern Line): Exit the station from the main entrance, turn right onto Tottenham Court Road. Continue to Maple street and turn right. The Hall will be on your left at the crossing within Fitzroy Street (2 mintues walk)

Goodge Street (Northern Line): Exit the station, turn left onto Tottenham Court Road. Continue to Maple street and turn right. The Hall will be on your left at the crossing within Fitzroy Street (2 mintues walk)

Euston Square (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitian Line): Leave the station using the southern exit, turn left along Gower Street. Turn right at University Street and continue to Tottenham Court Road. Turn right at Tottenham Court Road and continue to Maple street and turn right. The Hall will be on your left at the crossing within Fitzroy Street (5 mintues walk)

Great Portland Street: Come out of the station and turn right along Euston Road. Turn right at Cleveland Road and continue to Maple Street (you will see the tall telecom tower). Turn right onto Maple Street, the residence will be on your right just across Fitzroy Street.

AIRPORTS

From Heathrow: Carr-Saunders can be reached by using the Piccadilly line to Leicester Square then by taking the northbound Northern line three stops to Warren Street. (A 40 minute journey)

From Gatwick: Carr-Saunders can be reached by taking the Gatwick Express (30 minute journey) to Victoria Station.

MAIN LINE STATIONS:

From Kings Cross / St. Pancras (Eurostar): Take the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitian Lines to Euston Square or Take one of the many busses towards Great Portland Street (10 minutes at most).

From Euston: Take the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitian Lines to Euston Square or Take one of the many busses towards Great Portland Street (8 minutes at most).

From Paddington: Take the eastbound Hammersmith & City or Circle lines to Great Portland Street. (The Hammersmith & City Line platforms are at the rear of the station)

From London Bridge: Take the northbound Northern line to Euston, change to the Charring Cross Brance and then travel one stop southbound to Warren Street.

From Waterloo: that the Northern line northbound to Warren Street.
