I enjoyed my stay at Duke. Dori and his staff were friendly and attentive. He ran a tight ship while not being stingey. He has to make a profit after all. I loved the bright colours of the building inside and out and the convenience of the location for travellers arriving by train or bus was good, just a short walk. The relaxed attitude of the staff set the scene for easy relations between the guests. Well done Dori.

Located in the very centre of Greymouth near Visitor Centre, Bus Stop, Train Station and shops.
Highly recommended by Lonely Planet, Let's Go and other guide books.

You can't miss this bright purple building right in the centre of town, when you get to the roundabout with McDonald's turn towards Tainui St, and then first turn left to Guinness St, Duke is at no. 27 on the left hand side.
