On our NZ travels this was probably the best place we stayed. Mainly due to the owner Dory, we had free pies and pasteries when we arrived and 2 for 1 beers. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent.

Located in the very centre of Greymouth near Visitor Centre, Bus Stop, Train Station and shops.
Highly recommended by Lonely Planet, Let's Go and other guide books.
A wide choice of clean and comfortable accommodation including ENSUITE, double, twin, single and dorm rooms, all with fully made up beds, heaters and sinks.
Included FREE: 1/2 hour Internet, second beer, pool table, evening soup, bread & jams for breakfast, coffee & tea, dvd movies and more.

Very nice and colourful hostel in the centre of Greymouth. Enjoyed the free beer voucher and the free internet voucher. Friendly atmosphere, comes with lounge with piano and guitar to play as well as the hostel pub with pool and darts for free. definetely recommend it.

Great place, and very colorful as well! The manager is extremely friendly. The only problem was that the noise of the other guests carried right into our room. Would definitely stay again!

I enjoyed my stay at Duke. Dori and his staff were friendly and attentive. He ran a tight ship while not being stingey. He has to make a profit after all. I loved the bright colours of the building inside and out and the convenience of the location for travellers arriving by train or bus was good, just a short walk. The relaxed attitude of the staff set the scene for easy relations between the guests. Well done Dori.
