Good location - just 10 minutes walking to the port, although very close to bad area between train tracks and city center. Internet available in the lobby - free of charge. Reception desk ranged from very nice and funny to very strict and not very helpful. Good rooms, even quite swanky bathroom.

The New Hotel SELECT is only a few steps from the Saint Charles new train station and its TGV (high-speed train), from the famous avenue the Canebière and 5 minutes walking from the Vieux Port !
The underground (Saint Charles or Noailles stop station) is nearby the hotel, and Gambetta car park is in front of the hotel - all of this illustrates the practicality of thi hotel.

Directions
From highway A7 take the exit 'Gare Saint Charles'.
Arriving on the 'Boulevard du général Leclerc' go straight on the 'Boulevard Maurice Bourdet', then go round the train station 'Saint Charles' and at the train station stairs (on your left) turn right and take the 'Boulevard d'Athènes'.
At the crossroads you have the NEW HOTEL SELECT in front of you on your left. You can not cross directly the crossroad, you are obliged to turn right, turn around the small square, and then you will be able to go straight to the hotel and the gambetta car park.
From the highway A51 take the exit ' Centre Ville - Vieux Port' (exit without toll).
You will arrive on the street 'Rue Menpenti' and then go on the direction of 'Centre Ville- Gare Saint Charles'. You will arrive on the 'Cours Gouffé', go straight on the 'Cours Lieutaud' and on the 'Boulevard Dugommier'.
When you arrive on the 'Boulevard Dugommier' at the next light, turn right, the NEW HOTEL SELECT is on the corner of the 'Boulevard Dugommier' and the street 'Allées Léon gambetta'.

From Saint Charles train station :
Take metro (underground) Line n°2 towards Ste Marguerite Dromel. Then, alight at the 1st stop Noailles.
Take the 'Boulevard Dugommier' and the hotel is at the corner of the 'Boulevard Dugommier' and the street 'Allées Léon Gambetta'.
