A lovely and very different experience with a great family. Quiet, beautifully furnished and in a good neighborhood. A little walk from the Metro but worth it. Couldn't recommend it enough.
About Jade
French family-run guesthouse offers 2 independent's rooms with their own private bath and summer kitchen.
Our guesthouse is meant for your comfort at affordable price: you'll have soap, shampoo, clean towels, comfy bed and free use of the summer kitchen where you can prepare your free coffee or cook.
Our rooms are cleaned every day. Bed sheets are changed every 3 nights for stay longer than 4 nights.
Our house is an antique Mexican house from the past century with an hacienda's touch. You'll find a peaceful place to rest in a middle of this gigantic city with outdoor's terrace.
You'll have your complete freedom and a set of keys to come and go as you please.
We're located 15mns walk to the metro and only 4 tub stations away from the historical center.
The place is close from all commodity, fresh market, supermarket, banks and internet cafe.
We'll be happy to advice you on where to eat or to go.
We also propose delicious breakfast on week ends and national holidays for an additional $50 pesos each. Breakfast is served on outdoor terrace or in room.
For those with a laptop, we offer a large DVD selection for $10 each.
Wi-Fi internet is free.

Jade is a tastefully decorated, lovely place with a distinct and charming character.
Virginie and Erik are easy going, welcoming people, and with their two sweet kids and two cats I felt very much at home
The location is very pleasant, with a lovely, lush green piazza with a 18th century Alhambra style kiosk at it's centre at walking distance, banks nearby, and good restaurants.
Jade is kept very clean by Virginie, who also offers a fantastic breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

I'd rather keep this place to myself but since it will be a little while at least until my next visit to Mexico City I think it's only fair I share it with you. Jade Guesthouse was, quite simply, a gorgeous, comfortable, simple, classy, wonderful experience with outstanding hosts. I felt so at home I asked when I could move in....alas my hosts simply laughed courteously and failed to answer my very serious question!
. When I return to Mex City I'm heading straight to Jade Guesthouse. Nuff said.

This was my first visit to Mexico City, and I was concerned about finding a nice place to stay that was in a quiet, safe part of town, with easy access to tourist areas. I found the perfect combination with Jade.
Virgina and her husband were very hospitable and kind. The room has a private entrance onto a sunny courtyard. It had a comfortable bed, clawfoot bathtub and shower, sink and toilet. It was quite clean.
Virginia recommended a local restaurant where I had a nice dinner, dessert and a beer for US$6 including tip. She also asked what I wanted to see, and she recommended visiting San Angel, which I enjoyed a lot.
The room is about a 15 minute walk from the San Cosme Metro station, which was fairly convenient. There is an internet cafe two blocks away, and a bank ATM nearby. I felt completely safe walking through the neighborhood surrounding the house, even alone, after dark.
I did not take advantage of the ability to make coffee, or of their breakfast, but I really enjoyed staying there. I would stay there again, and I would recommend it.

From airport it's a 30mns taxi ride and 1h metro ride. metro is 10mns walk from the guesthouse. The sub station is san cosme, 4 stations away from the famous zocalo.
