The neighbourhood is a working class one. The people are friendly and a few blocks from Jade cafés and restaurants can be found. It is a bit away from the centre so using the subway is necessary.

They were lovely hosts. Helped us with maps and where to go in Mexico City. Very flexible by allowing us to rearrange our booking. The room was very nice and tidy. The area is safe and friendly with a close community feel. Great cheap food around. Would definitely come back to stay at Jade and recommend it to future holidayers.
It is an accommodation for low budget with a great deal of qualities. The hosts are very welcoming, and of very good advice (for restaurants, or to guide us for the rest of our journey in Mexico). The room is very clean, and full of charm. The perfect adress in Mexico.

Location of a guest house is pretty far from metro station San Cosme (15-20 minutes of walking) but neighbourhood is quiet. It is possible to find some markets and restaurants. French family is very friendly and hospitable. They can help you with first days in Mexico.

Jade was an ideal starting point not least because of the welcoming and helpful approach of the hosts, Virginie & Eric. It was reassuring to receive travel advice from two people who were experienced travellers themselves, and when I had difficulty changing my Stirling travellers cheques (note to self, bring Dollar TC's if bringing them at all!) they actually refunded me some money so that I didn't go without. The other reviews seem fair although Jade's relative distance from Centro Historico really isn't a problem and the local area is great. Would definitely return and can recommend.
When you arrive to Mexico city you can feel lost. Then you step in to a hidden small place and you grow quiet. This family home has a very warm atmosphere, the rooms are equipped with all conveniences. Virginie will give you every important advice.
It is a great value

Lovely place to stay, good clean great value for money...but the biggest selling point is the owners. Virginie and Eric walk the extra mile for their guests and really made our visit to mexico great. They gave good advice on travel through mexico based on their own experiences, from car rental companies to use, places to visit and the best ways to get there!!

When we arrived from the airport Virginie made us feel right at home in this wonderfully cozy place.
The rooms are decorated in a very charming way and it is a good place from where to discover Mexico City.
Virginie and Eric are always helpful in giving advice into where to go and how. This was the best value place we stayed in out of +10 budget places in southern Mexico.
We would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a comfy stay with warm personal attention.

This place was really great! We felt very comfortable and save at Jades Guesthouse. Virginie, Eric, Oscar and Jade are very friendly and helpful and gave us great advices for our visit in Mexico City and further travelling in Mexico.
The rooms are very clean and furnished in nice Mexican style, you get free drinking-water and the kitchen on the roof-top is really cool!
The area around is also nice and save. It is not one of the richest parts of Mexico City, but historic and full of beautiful, sometimes a little bit trashy buildings, small shops, bakeries, restaurants and markets. You have to walk about 15 minutes to the next Metro station, but it is a nice walk and good chance to buy some fresh friuts oder fresh orange juice on the street. Otherwise the taxis are really cheap. And its not far away from the airport!
So we really can recommend this nice, familiar place to stay! If we ever come back to Mexico City, we will stay at Jades Guesthouse!
