Perfect location, in the middle of everything and so close to the beach! Nice friendly staff and a nice little kitchen! The only complaint was there felt there was too many people squashed into the dorm room!

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The hostel has a good location. Very easy to find off of the tram and close to a lot of bars, restaurants and cafes. Both laundry and internet access is close by. That is about all that is really good here. The building is old, which is fine by me, but also ran down with some less than perfect renovations done. We had paid for an 8 bed dorm and were put in a 12 bed instead. There was one bathroom for us to use which had two showers and one toilet. This was all in one room near the dorm but the door did not lock or even latch so you either had to change for the shower behind the curtain, in full view of the hallway, or in the toilette compartment.

One of the things we always look for is internet available, but this did not work. We also prefer places with kitchens but this area was small and doubled as the common area, so there were always people in there watching the tv, which was right above the stove for the kitchen. The dorm room itself was very packed and only had 3 electrical outlets for 12 people.

We had booked for 2 nights but checked out a night early because we couldn't get anyone to shut off the lights in the dorm until after 1:00 AM and people kept talking loudly despite us asking them to be quite and obviously trying to sleep. The management has not imposed any kind of a quite or lights out time and did not seem to mind all the noise in the middle of the night.

The management was polite, but fairly ineffective.
I gave this hostel 1 star overall because 0 is not an option.

I had a great stay here, its cheap, the owners are very friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic for entertainment, tram, train and bus access, the beach etc.The kitchen is more than functional, I've rented 1 be appts in Port Grimaud, Ste Maxime, Val D'Isere and Tignes with less , the bathroom was good though the showers could do with closing doors on them, the internet and wifi is free, the TV gets english and french channels. While I was there everyone was great fun and respected the fact that these were shared facillities and treated them as so.It is a hostel, dont expect perfection, chill out and enjoy Nice, treat the other guests with respect therefore clean up after yourself you will have a wonderful stay here.I'm going back in 2 days time almost a year to the day, had to leave due to back injury, its a good base for job and flat hunting

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This was easily the worst hostel I stayed in during my travels in Europe. The only good thing about it was the location, which is fantastic. It is located in the old town and is a short walk to the market and the beach/boardwalk. This hostel is basically an apartment that has been converted to a hostel, with 15 beds stuffed in each room. The bathroom was not clean and I elected not to shower while staying here because the shower was scary. There was a common room with kitchen facilities and a large TV. Internet was supposed to be free, but it did not work at all during my stay. The owners were very nice and tried to fix the problem, but it never helped. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

The group that shared the big room was extremely noisy and dirty. Just our luck of the draw that we got to stay with them. The people were extremely friendly and everything was clean (before they took over).

Location is IDEAL and it is really good value for money.
