This is a great hostel, the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help with suggestions. It is centrally located and very clean. My room is big and has only two bunks in it plus our own bathroom and small refrigerator! I have extended my stay by four nights...thos hostel and Granada are a great place to chill out.

Welcome to Funky Backpackers Hostel, the only hostel in the Center and with parking. We just moved in order to offer you a better service and to adapt the old Funky to handicafts.
Stay with us and enjoy our hospitality in a unique and wonderful setting. ALL OUR ROOMS ARE ENSUITE. We have comfortable beds, hot showers, heating in winter and air conditioning in summer, plus loads of activities, years of experience, plus tasty food and drinks!
The apartments LAS INFANTAS, where the hostel is located, are a new concept in accommodation. You can choose from a private apartment- with his one kitchen-, a double room in a shared flat or a bed in a dormitory. Enjoy clean and comfy rooms.
If you book the rooftop apartments, you will get a room with a wonderful terrace to chill out on, listen to music or simply enjoy the sunset. In our nice patio we have a common area (bar) and the common kitchen, next to reception where you can seat and rest.
Our hostel is only 10 minutes away from the Alhambra, Spain's most visited sight, the famous Albayzin district and the lively area around Elvira Street where people party till sunrise is 2 minutes walk, as well the Cathedral.
We run an extensive program of activities including adventure sports, trips to the mountains, beaches (less than 1 hour away), hot springs, horse riding and skiing (30 minutes by bus).
Every night you can do something different: a flamenco show, a thermal bath, a tapas tour or you can just have a night in and enjoy our tasty homemade food and delicious sangria on the terrace. Our paella is excellent.

Directions
From the bus station take bus number 3 or 33. Get off at Gran Via bus stop near the Cathedral. Then take Calle Carcel Baja and then continue for Calle Pescadería. After here, you will arrive at Plaza de la Trinidad, turn right on Calle Conde de las Infantas, we are number 15-17. (Approximately a two-minute walk from the stop to the hostel)
From the train station, take bus number 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8. Get off at Gran Via de Colón, number 1 bus stop near the Cathedral. Then take the street on your right called Carcel Baja. After one block, the street will appear to curve to the right. Continue straight into the pedestrian only area to the street called Capuchinas. Capuchillas will finish in Plaza de la Trinidad. You will see the bank Caja Rural on the corner of the place on your right. There, go the third street on your right called Conde de las Infantas. On the corner, there is a bar called 'Reca'. We are located near the end of the block on the left, numbers 15-17. The sign over the door says 'Funky'.
From the airport: take the bus until Gran Vía (the Cathedral). and there follow the same directions in the paragraph before or contacting a taxi driver of the airport, and he will be waiting for you and take you until Funky for 25 euros.
