Cabot Trail Hostel is situated just in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park at Pleasant Bay, 5 to 6 hour drive from Halifax. Pleasant Bay is nestled between the Highlands of Cape Breton and is a nature-lovers haven. We are close to many excellent hiking trails and surrounded by wildlife. The sunsets are said to be some of the most spectacular found anywhere in Nova Scotia.

We offer Free pickup Tuesdays & Fridays 7:30 pm Acadian Lines bus stop, Vi's Restaurant, Whycocomagh, N.S. with three nights & whale watching.

If you are traveling by car, you can tour any section on the Cabot Trail and be back at the hostel before dark. Because we are located halfway around the Cabot Trail, this is easily done. Information on areas of your interest are available at the hostel.
