With only 4 rooms, 2 WC's, and 1 shower, Liteiny 51 is more like staying in someone's home. The couple that owns it is very accommodating and kind. The kitchen's stocked with lots of food for breakfast that you make yourself and this place is cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. Hallways are a bit noisy depending what time the other guests are coming in but what a gem.

We are fond of travelling and spend many nights away from our own home. While creating our family-run guesthouse we were trying to make it such a place that we would like to stay ourselves.
Our guesthouse is located right in the centre of St.Petersburg, less than 5 minutes walk from the Nevsky prospect, in the courtyard of the 'Drama theatre on Liteiny', nearby the Sheremetyev palace, the Anna Akhmatova's museum, the Anichkov bridge. It's only several minutes walk from Mayakovskaya or Gostinyy Ddvor underground stations.
Peaceful and quiet place to stay at reasonable price.
We offer 4 twin (double) rooms with a possibility of extra bed upon request. All rooms are equipped with TV and hairdryer.

I recommend 100% this accommodation in St. Petersburg, we were really glad of staying there. A very nice and clean appartment, the english-speaking owner was really kind. The kitchen was provided with all facilities and food, cleans bathrooms and shower, confortables matress, and provided with all facilities even a washing machine

Directions
From Gostiny Dvor underground station (exit to Kanal Griboedova)
When you exit underground station and find yourself facing the Nevsky prospect, turn left and walk straight for approximately 15 minutes until you reach crossroad with Liteiny prospect (first crossroad in 200 m after the Fontanka river). Turn left on Liteiny prospect. Keep walking for 5 minutes on the left-hand side of the street until you reach house 51 (watch out for signs of Liteiny Drama Theatre, just after the honey shop easily recognisable by 'Bee' pictures).
Enter the arch right after the honey shop. When you face the entrance to the theatre turn right and follow the road which will turn left by itself. And, you are almost at our place))) In the house on your right hand side (3 storey building), find 6the entrance on which you will see our sign near interphone - 'Liteiny 51'. Dial 5, 3rd floor.
From Mayakovskaya underground station
When you exit the station turn left and walk for 5 minutes untill you reach Liteiny prospect (Radisson SAS on the corner). Turn right crossing the Nevsky prospect, take left hand side of Liteiny prospect and keep walking for another 5 minutes until you reach house 51 (watch out for signs of Liteiny Drama Theatre, just after the honey shop easily recognisable by 'Bee' pictures).
