We would definitely choose to stay there again.

The Kilim B&B was only 10mins walk from the station and very easy to find.

It was situatined along a sort side street of residential properties just off the main road from the station. It was a lovely queit area and on arriving we were greated by a very friendly owner who welcomed us inside. The B&B is a family home with a few rooms downstairs making it feel cozy. The room was a good size, with clean beds and lovely warm duvets. The heating was perfect for a cold February. The showers and toilets were clean and looked very new - again lovely warm showers with towels provided. I was suprised to find at we had use of a small kitchen area which was also clean. Breakfast was served between 8-10am and was your typical Dutch style breakfast - all nice. One nice feature was the use of soft strip lighting along the floor leading through the hall to the rooms and toilets. This made it easy to see your way around without the need to put on big over head lights and possibly disturb others sleeping.

Kilim was only 5mins walk to the shopping centre of Utrecht so is ideal for getting around. The price was average to what you'd expect to pay for a city centre B&B / hostel however I favoured this as it was very clean, freindly, warm and in walking distance to everything you need.

The only improvement I would make would be to put some sort of sign outside advertising it was a B&B. There was no indication it was a B&B which had us confused for a couple of minutes. Dispite this we rang the door bell and were welcomed in so it wasn't that big an issue.

We chose this bed and breakfast because it had a room with a double bed. Upon arrival we were told that there was no room with a double bed (it had broken and was replaced by two single beds).

You get what you pay for. Staff friendly and helpful. Surrounds a bit noisy. I could not pay with my credit card which I found a bit inconvenient. Overall - good value for money in a safe, convenient (near Utrecht Central station) environment.

The Kilim centre Inn is at the northern end of the Utrecht city centre. To walk to the southern end of the centre - where I worked - took me twentyfive to thirty minutes. It was a lovely walk along the picturesque old canal in the centre (Oudegracht).
The owners are a very friendly couple who are very supportive. My room was nice, the restrooms are OK and two showers have been renovated recently.
The atmosphere at the breakfast table was very cashual and friendly.
