This hostel is a large home with two common rooms, fireplace, large front porch, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, clean showers, dorms for men and women, and bike storage. The hostel has ten rooms that accommodate a maximum of 45 travelers. Each dorm room has 4-8 bunk beds. Our family room has one double bed, 2 bunk beds and a private bath.
The Hostel is open for registration and check-in from:
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM April-May
5:00 PM - 10:00 PM June-September
5:00 PM - 8:00 PM October-March
Once registered, guests are given after-hour access to the hostel. The kitchen is available between 6 am and 10 pm. Quiet hours are between 11 pm and 7 am.
The Ashland Hostel was built 100 years ago. It's listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. With an architectural style of an American Bungalow, the hostel occupies three floors at the corner of Bush Street, just two blocks north of the Ashland Plaza. The management team of General Manager Marilyn Northcross and Resident Manager Stuart Gray have developed the hostel into a delightful home-like haven for price-conscious travelers of all ages.
