Long guest house is a very clean, welcoming and trustful family run guesthouse. Miss Long, her brue and the small team make your stay so nice. First they speak good english and are willing to be very helpful towards their guests. They give you many good tips, show you some nice places. Breakfast is included, some times you get baguette but I liked it better with broken rice and omelette.

I definitely recommend this place!

Mrs Long is the most welcoming friendly host, she went out of her way to please us. Upon a late arrival and feeling tired she gave us lovely hot tea and coconut sweets. When asked for language lessons she even had her daughter-in-law give us them at night. As all the comments say ditto .. all the family were lovely and looked after us. Of course we got the best breakfasts chicken noodle soup and fresh baguettes with eggs if we wanted. The whole premises was spotless. It was an extremely quiet place to stay in and we were astonished next morning to find a busy market just around the corner, that's how quiet the laneway is.
Thank you Mrs Long and all your family for making Ho Chi Minh City a memorable place.

This place is a real gem. Centrally located and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were very good and the coffee fantatastic. Mrs Long and her family were great hosts - very knowledgeable, always helpful and lovely people.

Our stay Saigon was made all the more enjoyable for staying at Longs Guest House. They made us feel truly at home and Mrs Long is a wealth of information. My son became ill during our 6 day stay and he could not have had better care. The rooms are small but spotless and the air con and LCD TV a plus! We will be returning in July to pick up where our conversation left off!

Mrs Long and her husband are awesome people. We had a great stay there. She is very helpful and gives lots of good advice as well.

She makes the best Iced tea I have tasted up to date. We really loved our stay there, and I would recommend the place to anyone.

Deciding on a lightning trip through Vietnam to end our annual holiday to Phuket Thailand, I looked up Travellerspoint. On checking the web page I could not go past the great reviews on Long's Guest House. We decided that that would be our starting point in Ho Chi Minh City as it was close to a lot of the sights. We originally were going to stay only one night but decided to extend the stay even before we arrived to three nights. I stayed at Long's Guest house, with my Wife from 1/5/10 to 8/5/10 my Sister and my Brother in law who were travelling with us also stayed with us for two nights, and moved for the third night as we had left it until the last minute to book the third night. Long arranged a room in a news 10 room Hotel near by for the third night, they were happy with the Hotel but would have prefered to stay with our new family Mr and Mrs Long.
We were all so impressed with the friendly welcome from both Mr and Mrs Long, they are both lovely people, always there to help you, their advice and knowledge will make your stay enjoyable. They go out of their way to organise trips, taxi's and tickets to attractions for you at reasonable prices, much better price than the tour shops near by.
I would recommend a stay with Long ( Mrs ) and Lee ( Mr ) to everyone travelling to Saigon. They have both been through the war and did not leave as did many other did at that time, speaking English near perfect Long can tell you many things to get a better understanding of Vietnam.
The rooms are spotless, comfortable and have an Air Con and fan, hot shower and toilet. Long makes great Coffee and her Breakfast are tasty and plenty enough to get you started for the day.
I hope after reading this recommendation you consider this quaint two room Guest House, you will not be dissapointed !!!We love these guys !!

We stayed with Mrs and Mr Long for 4 nights at the start of our month in Vietnam.We couldnt have picked a better spot both for the very friendly and informative company of this lovely couple and for the location.
Being down a quiet ally but in the middle of the action meant we slept well and could wander around all the sites by foot easily.
Breakfasts here were a treat and any information we required was readily given.The Longs have created a wonderful small homestay/guesthouse with a friendly environment.
We will be back for another couple of nights at the end of our journey.

We stayed at Long Guesthouse for 2 nights.

The place is nearby everything. Most interesting is the park across the road where there is circus every weekend, activities for kids every night, free aerobic and ball games every afternoon. The park has also a little lake which my daughter loves very much.

The hotel is located in the centre of Saigon within walking distance to the famous market Ben Thanh and the river Bach Dang with restaurant boats that offer entertainments every evening.

The owners are a couple retired English teachers. We highly recommend this hotel because of the very kind owners, stab and it’s location: A home stay hotel with home atmosphere and people who really are there to help you.

Long guesthoust is in a really good location, it's just 2 mins from loads of bars and restaurants where you can meet other backpackers.
Mrs Long is a lovely land lady, she really does treat like a guest in her home. We were exhausted when we arrived, it was so nice to be greeted in such a friendly way. Mrs Long also brought us delicious cold drinks and talked us round a map of the local area.
The rooms are very clean, with a/c.
If you are arriving from the airport its very easy to get the bus to guest house-it does help if you have a friendly bus driver.
Overall I would really recommend this guest house, we had an extremely enjoyable stay and could find no fault with the accommodation whatsoever!
