Every corners and elevators are with regulatory fire-alarm and prevention facilities and CCTV. Security guards inspect every 1 hour in the whole building. Closest to the hostel are the major attractions of Hong Kong such as the Victoria Harbour, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Hong Kong Space Museum, the Ocean Centre and the Kowloon Park. The guests here have the choice to indulge themselves in shopping and dinning. Convenient shops like 7/11 and McDonald open 24 hours and everywhere nearby.

Mirador Mansions features a labyrinth of guesthouses, African bistros, clothing shops, sari stores, and foreign exchange offices. It often acts as a large gathering place for some of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, particularly Indians, Middle Eastern people, Nepalese, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Nigerians, Europeans, Americans, Pakistanis, Asians, and many other peoples of the world. The building was completed in 1961, at which time Chinese residents predominated. Now, after more than four decades of use, there are nearly 4,000 people living in the Mansions.
With this lively mix of guest workers, mainlanders, local Chinese, tourists and backpackers, the Mirador Mansion neighbourhood is one of the most culturally diverse locations in Hong Kong.
In a study by CUHK anthropologist , it is revealed that there are people from at least 120 different nationalities who have passed through Mirador Mansions in the past year. In the issue of 'TIME Magazine' , 2007, Mirador Mansions was elected as the Best Example of Globalization in Action in its annual feature The Best of Asia.

Customers must come to our reception to check-in. There are many other small hostels pretending to be us. Come directly to our reception and check-in with your name or reference number.

Cancellation and changes must be done no later than 48 hours before your arrival date (12 noon). Otherwise the relevant changes may not be available. 2 night's room rent will be charged if failed to cancel before 48 hours of arrival date or no-show. Email is the only way we accept for changes or cancellations.! We will try our best to accommodate any booking changes. We do hope you make sure your travel plan before booking as to avoid any inconvenience between you and me!
**Please specify your arrival time very carefully, we would appreciate if you could provide us with the accurate arrival time in advance. We will only reserve the room for you within 'today', which mean before 12am at night on your arrival day unless specified. Especially for those who have booked room in High season, please send us email specifying your arrival time carefully, if not and you arrive late, we do not guarantee you with the best room arrangement and reserving you the room. We will arrange the best room for those who arrive ON TIME only.

CAUTION : Prevention for your loss of money, please don't show your booking sheet to any stranger approaching you in front of Mirador Mansion. They might claim to be our staff and mislead you to other hostel, trying to get money from you. Don't pay any money until you reach our hostel. If you need help, on the road side there are some public phone which charge HK$1 that you can use to call Sandy or get the information from security guards inside Mirador Mansion (lift area). The security will help you to find our hostel more easily.

Thank you for booking our hostel! Once you have received this confirmation email. Your booking is confirmed and you don't need to email us to re-confirm it. We wish you a fabulous journey in Hong Kong and I am looking forward to serving you very soon! Before you come to our hostel, I would like to remind you several things to avoid inconvenience and hope you can have a better perception about Hong Kong and our hostel! I would like to ask you to read the whole passage below carefully~
Check-in Procedure :
1. Please come to check-in at the reception at Flat F1, 13/F, Mirador Hostel, 58-62 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Please kindly ignore those foreigners and Chinese women on the street. They are only doing their own business (sometimes hawking our hostel's customer and selling copy watches). They will never hurt! It is just like the Manhattan in New York. Tsim Sha Tsui (our district) is a famous tourist spot. Policemen patrol regularly to secure the safety of tourists. So the safety here is the best in Hong Kong.
2. For directions of how to come, please refer to the details in Direction
3. Due to the popularity of our hostel, customers are advised to come directly and not to show your confirmation details to any strangers on the street. There are some non-licensed small hostels pretending to be us and cheat our customers. To avoid economic loss and safety issue, please come directly following the address and directions you have in the confirmation email.
Cancellation / Change of Booking Policy:
1. Any cancellation or booking changes must be done before 2 WHOLE days prior to your arrival date (NOT arrival time), or otherwise, 2 nights room rent will be charged.
2. Room rates you booked is of our normal Deluxe class. Pictures & Videos shown are Super Deluxe class. We have a large variety of rooms to meet your accommodation needs. Because we have over 100 rooms and over 30 bookings a day, sometimes we may not know the need of every customer. If you are not satisfied with the rooms we reserve for you, you are welcome to request. We are willing to help you find the best room. Remember, always ask and compromise. We will never know if you don't tell us ^_____^
3. Please print out the confirmation email or the booking changing form (if you have any) and show it to the receptionist.
4. In order to have a better room arrangement, I would suggest every customer to specify the arrival time carefully! the earlier you arrive, the more choices you have.
5. We are the only few hostels that accept credit card payment, 3% service fee is charged as a bank service fee. Please understand that it is the bank charging you, but not us.
6. The balance upon arrival should be paid in Hong Kong Dollar, as it is the official currency in Hong Kong. The converting rate is according to the most current rate using in Hostelworld. Please check the amount in Hong Kong Dollar if you have any inquiries. If you would like to pay in other currencies, we do offer the exchange service but will be conducted according to the most current daily rate.
Some Common Misunderstanding about Hong Kong Hostel :
1. Foreign customers from America and Europe easily have wrong expectation because the hostels in their country are large with a comparable low price because their country is large. Hostels in Hong Kong are mainly located in a large commercial/ residential building. The high land price here is renowned in the world! In order to provide a budget accommodation for backpackers, Hong Kong hostels are designed to make good use of every inch of space. The bathroom and toilet are in one area. Usually hostel will also provide basic facilities like color TV, air-conditioning, free local phone service. If you think that this is not what you are looking for, I would advice you to cancel this booking immediately and choose the hotels nearby. Of course the price of hotels is sometimes unreasonably high.
2. As above, they always think the rooms of hostels in Hong Kong are very tiny. That's what I always observe form the reviews on the website. They think they should receive similar rooms in Hong Kong as they got in their country with the same price. They don't understand that the land in Hong Kong is among the highest in the world. If you want more spacious rooms, that is easy, you can stay in hotel, if you are affordable the unreasonable high rates. Hostel in Hong Kong mainly serve as a budget accommodation for backpackers.
3. Customers, after traveling to the mainland China, always complain that our rooms are tiny as compared with what they get in China. They don't understand that China is a still developing country. Their land is a lot cheaper than that in Hong Kong. Though Hong Kong is returned to China, they have two separate and different political systems. This is the famous policy 'one country, two systems'.
Change of Booking :
Customer can only change their booking once. 30 HKD will be charged as an administration fee. Please make sure about your travel plan before you send us the booking changing form. 30 HKD will be charged per booking change per room. We will ONLY try our best to accommodate your booking changes, the changed room rates depends on the MOST UPDATED Rates & Availability of rooms and market demand and supply. So you must be aware that the changed booking's room rent and room type may change.
To remind you again, our customer should be aware that any changes must be made before 48 hours prior to your arrival date (NOT arrival time). Customers who fail to follow the above instructions will be penalized for two night's room rent (1 night is charged if you book for 1 night). All cancellation or change of booking MUST be made by EMAIL. We don't accept calls or fax. Please email the booking changing form (below) to us.

From Hong Kong Airport
A21 Airport ShuttleService from 05:30 to 00:00, every 10 minutes, it takes about 40 minutes, costs 33 HKD for each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the 12th bus stop (Mirador Plaza). You will take 5 to 10 minutes walk to our hostel - Mirador Mansion.
Airport ExpressService from 05:50 to 01:15, every 12 minutes, it takes around 25 minutes, costs 90 HKD per each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the Kowloon Station and change to the free airport shuttle bus K3 or take taxi which costs less than HKD20 to arrive at Mirador Mansion.
K3 bus- taking K3 to Holiday-inn Hotel and then go along the Nathan Road.
Taxi24 hours service. It takes about 30 minutes, costs around 300 HKD (free for luggage fee). Please tell the driver to stop at the Mirador Mansion, Tsim Sha Tsui.
From Mainland China
Trainfrom ShenZhen
Service from 06:30 to 00:00, every 5 minutes, it takes about 45 minutes, costs 36.5 HKD for each person (free of luggage fee). Please stop at the last station, East Tsim Sha Tsui (M2 exit).
Train from Beijing/ShanghaiTaking the train to Hung Hom (Kowloon) station and then change to East Tsim Sha Tsui (M2 exit).
FerryThere are two piers
Guangdong Road (Tsim Sha Tsui). The Mirador Mansion is within walking distance about 15 minutes.
Sheungwan. The MTR station is right beside it and customers can take MTR to the Tsim Sha Tsui station, D1 exit.
MTR (Mass Transit Railway)Exit at the Tsim Sha Tsui Station, D1 exit. The Mirador Mansion is right beside it.
