Great hostel with friendly staff and a really awesome lounge to chill in. Free pool, ps2, dvd room and i saw a few shisha bongs here and there, really awesome. :D Rooms were clean and made great friends! Would definitely go back there again!

kaiyue youth hostel was being a top rated hostel for 2008.as voted by hostelworld.com customers.
Kaiyue International Youth Host is a good establishment for the weary traveller to rest his head. Reconstructed on the former site of a Christian Baptist Chapel, the hostel carried a charming air of old German architecture, and is located right in the centre of Qingdao city's concession area. A good budget choice for backpackers. Features a great little bar and is very close to the sea.
If you walk three minutes towards southwest from here, you will see the famous Qingdao scenic spot, the Catholic Church, which was built in the 30s of last century. The church, also called St. Aimier Church, is the greatest Gothic building in Qingdao and a masterpiece of Christ constructions. It was built between 1932 and 1934 by German architect, taking up 2470 square meters. Its yellow granite and concrete body is decorated with graceful signs. The arched windows and the huge rosewindow upward the gate show its beauty and solemnness. If you walk three minutes towards southeast from here, you will see another famous Qingdao tourist sight, the Christ Church, which was built between 1908 and 1910 and designed by German architect.
If you take the No.228 and No.231 buses you can go to Naval Museum, Qingdao Underwater World, Luxun Park, Xiaoyushan Park, No.1 Bathing Beach, Huiquan Square, Zhongshan Park, Badaguan Villas Area, Music Square, May 4th Square and place for Olympic sailing regatta Huiquan Gulf. You can also transfer No. 317 bus at May 4th Square to go to Sculpture Park and Old man Stone Bating Beach.
The route of Bus No. 228 nearby covers over 80% picturesque seashore scenery of Qingdao

From the Cangkou railway station:ï¼æ²§å£ç«è½¦ç«ï¼
Take the NO.305 bus and then get off when you arrived at the Municipal Hospital stopï¼å¸ç«å»é¢ï¼;
Or you can take the NO.22 bus and get down at the station of Shengli Bridgeï¼èå©æ¡¥ï¼ where you can catch the NO.5 bus to the Hospital.
It will cost you about 30RMB to take a taxi from the railway station to our hostel.
From the Sifang railway station:
Take the NO.5 or NO.305 bus to get to the Municipal Hospital stopï¼å¸ç«å»é¢ï¼;
Otherwise you can choose the NO.24 bus and change at the Huangtai Road stopï¼é»å°è·¯ï¼. It?s easy for you to find the NO.2, NO.222 or NO.320 bus to the Municipal Hospitaï¼å¸ç«å»é¢ï¼l.
It will cost you about 13RMB by taxi from the railway station to our hostel.
When you arrived at the Municipal Hospital stopï¼å¸ç«å»é¢ï¼, go declivity along the jiaozhou roadï¼è¶å·è·¯ï¼ and than turn left at the second crossroad (about 150 meters), after crossing the jiaozhou roadï¼è¶å·è·¯ï¼ you?ll get to the jining roadï¼æµå®è·¯ï¼. we are located at the crossing of JiNing Rd and SiFang Rdï¼ä½äºå¸å-åºæµå®è·¯å'åæ¹è·¯ç交åè·¯å£ï¼So just keep walking for about 100 meters, you?ll find our hostel on your left.

From Qingdao airport:
It will cost you about 70RMB by taxi from the airport to our hostel.
Or you can take the NO.2 airport bus to the end (15RMB) then take the NO.228 bus get down at Huangdao stop.
Otherwise you can catch the NO.1 airport bus and get-off at Municipal Hospital(å¸ç«å»é¢ï¼.After that you can walk to us!
