Latest Review for Candy Inn

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Lovely hostel, very conveniently located next to the tube station, so all the sites are just a short journey away. The room was clean and secure, although a bit tired as you would expect from a hostel. The communal areas were good, with free internet and and reasonable food in the bar upstairs. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The hostel also offered a range of trips, we used the transport to and from the great wall (jinshanling and getting picked up at simatai).

The hostel also offered a range of trips, we used the transport to and from the great wall (jinshanling and getting picked up at simatai). The trips were good value and well organised, although the driver had to pick up / drop off a lot of people from different hotels / hostels which added quite a bit of time onto the day. The guide didn't have very good english so communication was sometimes poor - this wasn't really an issue for us, although some other people on the trip did get frustrated as the day didn't pan out as they expected.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

We came in late (2AM) and left early (8AM); tried to take a nap around supper (due to our intended late night/early morning) but our room was right off the foyer, and many people were checking in... our only window led to the foyer (not outside). Good airconditioning. Comfortable bed. Cheap breakfast.
