This is a Trusted Review. Why?
The Snooze Hotel is a budget hotel. The design is very minmal and the room is just big enough for a bed ... think Tokyo small. However, the friendly and helpful staff and the great location make up for the plainness.
It's right by the bus stop (line 1) that takes you all around the city. It also has a post office next door which makes mailing postcards a breeze. The location is away from the crazy touristy scene, so it was nice to get some peace and quiet in the evening .

Modern architecture, individual design and a great value are the characteristics of the new snooze hotel (open since summer 2008) in the city of Salzburg.
It is located in the centre of Salzburg, two kilometres from the Old Town and the city's fortress, and two kilometres from Mozart's birthplace.
The Snooze hotel's individually designed single and double rooms face a quiet courtyard area and terrace garden and offer a perfect place to unwind and relax.

It's right by the bus stop (line 1) that takes you all around the city. It also has a post office next door which makes mailing postcards a breeze. The location is away from the crazy touristy scene, so it was nice to get some peace and quiet in the evening ... but all the sightseeing destinations can be reached within 15 minutes or less by bus. Remember Salzburg has no metro system - but only a bus system - since the city is quite compact. You can buy a ticket on the bus and pay the driver if necessary.
Things to keep in mind: 1. There is no phone in the room, so your friends must leave messages at the front desk. 2. Since there is no phone, there is no wake up call service ... so you must either pull the shade up and wake up with the sun or bring your own travel alarm clock. 3. The email from the hotel said the bus stop was "Glanstag" but the actual name is "Maxglaner" on either bus line 1 or 8. However, only the 1 can be accessed at the main train station (Hauptbanhof).
