About Il Gatto Zorba
Our property is located in an historical building right down the street from the main train station La Spezia Centrale,perfect to visit the beautiful Cinque Terre,only a few minutes walk from all the restaurants, bars ,pubs,museums and the main shopping area,just at the beginning af the pedestrian area.Internet Access and laundry just accross the street!Bus stop is on the next street which take all over La Spezia and the bay area (Lerici Tellaro PORTOVENERE SARZANA) The boat tour to Cinque Terre, Portofino ,Palmaria Isle,also leaves from the marina,only 10 minutes stroll along the pedestrian malls. We have four rooms all ensuite just renovated with new forniture, new bathrooms and great beds AC ,TV,fridge, hair dryer. A tasteful decoration that make it a home away from home! To give you more comfort all the rooms have double glazing to avoid any noise coming from the street.By train is only a short ride to Cinque Terre (about 10 minutes).To Pisa about an hour, Florence less than two hours and to Rome only four hours.Please note: Payment cash only, on arrival.Cancellation till 48 hours before arrival,less than 48 hours one night penality.Please advice about arrival time.Check-in time: from 12.00 to 22.00Check-out time: until 10.00

The town is right at walking distance so many wonderful restaurants,, ( We recommend the one right on the corner opposite the piazza out front... It was one of our best meals while in Italy. sorry I dont have the name of it handy ( jet lag and all) WE had a bit of trouble locating the place although and after a full morning of driveing the beautiful but narrow windey roads of Italy to get there from Radda, I wish I had dialed that better... This restuarant is down the hill and opposite the Hotel Mary, which is clearly visable Ill Gato Zorba is not REALLY a hotel of a person renting rooms fully decked out nevertheless,,, It had residential doors and does not stand out as THE right spot... WE drove past it several times then through the city- a bit frustrating but really our fault... It is literally right down the street one block on the station side of the street... and can easily be overlooked... parking is in another area although that being THE only drawback but totally do-able really. ONe has to slept the lugggage then go park the car then return... if traveling by train its a snap... The room we had was small, but totally fine, Everything was extreamly clean. Town is just a hop away... thursday market is fun. allin all we enjoyed our time here... patrize is very welcoming and cute. I recommend this spot. Recent traveler. 5-10
