A bit far from the main city area. A bit expensive, but cheap for Mumbai.

Friendly & helpful. They were excellent when it came to airport transfers. Just a word which could improve the outlook a tad ---- would be great if all the rubbish at the entrance was cleaned up on a daily basis. That is outside the front doors.

Both Good and Bad.. for readers ! (please read on)
-Good: Vijay is a very good guy, and is in charge at the desk sometimes, and really works to ensure he can do what he can to aid your stay. Good person, deserves to work in a better place.
The location is OK,... and you should be warned that they have more than one property now, so you may not be taken to the stated address, which is only the HQ/ first property.
-Bad: The aircon leaked on to my bed,.. and they didn't bother to try and even fix it. Told me that's the way it is, and I had to ask every night for a spare towel to soak up the drips(only good thing was it was on far side of bed).
-Really bad: I was harassed on my drop off to the airport by the driver, for a tip. Even though I had paid my last rupee at the inn on check out, the guy was really pushy,.. asking for foreign currency, etc. Even before he had stopped the van, he was talking about what I should be paying him. I relented,.. but it left a poor taste after what was a decent stay overall.
Overall, I might stay again, and think it is fine to stay there for most travellers,.. but they should try to fix equipment to improve things, even if it is slowly, and pushy drivers will not win over customers.

The hotel is basic and unremarkable, but came with an airport pick up which made it a good choice for arrival after a twenty hour flight. I would recommend it for that purpose alone.

Great place!
Someone was waiting for me at the airport holding a sign with my full name and took me to the hostel.
The place was warm, clean and Raju, the owner, was very helpfull and friendly.

I travelled all around India and this was probably the nicest places I stayed at in the sense of hospitality. The rooms are basic but clean and the hot shower works. There is a free computer to use and TV to watch that has about 100 channels. The free pick up and drop off to the airport was great.
Raj who owns it is so nice and even invited us to an Indian wedding. He makes sure you know how to get around and gives suggestions on the best places to visit. You can have toast and eggs for breakfast which was very convenient as there isn't many food places around. The Inn is about 10 min in a rickshaw from the train station and then about 20 minutes on a train into the cbd. If you take a riskshaw to and from the taxi it should only cost around 100-300rps. They try and rip you off massively so I recommend organising a set price before you get in and don't pay anything more then 500rps. I had friends paying 2000rps for a 5-10min ride. Highly recommend it. Also if you want to be in a bollywood movie just ask Raj and he can organise it.

I've stayed at anjali inn from 29.1.2011 till 2.2.2011 (5 days 4 nite). For the price of IDR 2000 per nite it was worth it. The room was small but very clean & tidy. No roach, flies etc... It's like you stayed in a friends house or something like that. The best was the staff, they really helped you with everything .. u named it. I really appreciate the hospitality that they gave to us. U can order food from them & served in the room, the food was delicious. Overall experience it was marvellous. This hotel is near to the airport but far from the town area. Anyway u can use a taxi or tuk tuk if u want to go there. The best of the best .... they pick & sent u back to the airport for FREE!

Our first site of the Anjali Inn in which we stayed made us think we should have booked somewhere else. However, when we looked at the room we changed our minds. It was clean, cool and quiet. The service was excellent, including the benefit of free pick up from and transport to the airport. It was very good value for money and we are happy to recommend Anjali Inn to other travellers.
