This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We were welcomed by extremely friendly and couteous desk-staff who provided maps and local information on how to get to where we wanted to go, where to find places eat and shop - all without being asked. We were made to feel welcome and weren't embarrassed to ask advice or for further help if we needed. This contrasts with service received in many other places we have stayed in Europe, USA and other countries.
Although the front door is locked from 8:00pm guests are provided with the means of entry, stroking 'Le Chat Noir' as we called the hotel cat is free; the hotel is genuinely within an easy walk of all attractions including the walled city, and the only real criticism at this price point is the lack of in room drink making facilities, although this probably shows us up as typically English and there is a 24 hour vending machine in the lobby.
Recommended to anyone who is swayed by reviews, who wants somewhere quiet to stay whilst being connected to the centre of the modern city and requires somewhere comfortable to rest and sleep.

This hotel is located near both the SNCF station and the Medieval Cité (10 mn walk from the station to the hotel, 15 mn walk from the hotel to the Cité).
The premises are very clean, and the room was confortable and well equipped. Ensuite bathroom was complete although rather small. My room was equipped with a LCD TV-Set and a ceiling fan, was quiet and had plenty of sunlight from the window. The furniture and decorations were rather old but nice.
The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful, and provided me with a city map and some useful suggestions.
The only thing I missed was a lift. Overall, a pleasant stay.
