Cancellations:
If you wish to cancel your booking, please do so online at least 24 hours before your planned arrival time to avoid being charged for the entire booking for any bed booked and not used as it takes time to fill any bed not used.
If your cancellation is not made online and is made in less than 24 hours of your stated arrival time, we will charge your credit card the amount equal and up to 10 nights for each bed booked. Example, you book for 3 beds and staying for three nights, and you did not cancel on time, you will be charged $75.00 X 3 = 225 plus tax. If you booked for 12 nights and did not cancel online or on time before your scheduled arrival time, we will charge you for 10 nights of each booked bed plus tax.
Towels:
We can provide you with towel once. Extra towels for hire(rent) at $5.00 each.

Recent Incident:
On August 27, 2011, at about 0600pm, a female guest from Poland brought an armed robber into our hostel by letting the robber in with the keys that we gave her for her convenience.
Apparently, she hooked up with the handsome guy on the street somewhere outside the hostel, but when she found out that the guy\'s motive was nothing but robbery she headed to and ran into the hostel using the keys we gave her, with the guy in tow, thereby exposing all the other guests, the staff and the entire hostel to danger. The guy still robbed her as she claimed. This is not Poland. We are in the USA. People can be armed here. Generally, men here are saturated when it comes to girls and are not necessarily looking for women, so it is a good idea to focus on ones trip and purpose for visiting Washington and avoid unnecessary distractions like that when in town. And, most importantly, avoid subjecting other innocent guests and staff to unnecessary danger by bringing in strangers to our hostel.

While at the hostel, do not bring in your own private guests.
Use your own phone. We do not have copy or fax service.
Length of Stay:
Maximum length of stay per guest is 7 nights in a 12 calender year.
Parents with Children

Our hostel is children friendly but anyone arriving with children must make a reservation for each child no matter the age of the child, stay with the child all times throughout stay, supervise child to prevent injury or property damage, and call ahead of booking to the hostel to make sure it is possible to book the reservation. We do not babysit children.

Typically this hostel will bill your credit card in the morning of your arrival date pending your arrival. If you choose to pay by other means on arrival, your credit card will be credited back.

If your cancellation is made directly with the hostel staff in less than 24 hours of your stated arrival time, we will charge your credit card the amount equal and up to ten night's for each bed booked, depending on the number of nights you booked. In other words, if you do not cancel and booked for less than ten nights stay, we will charge you only for the nights that you booked plus tax, not exceeding ten(10) nights. For example, you book for 3 beds and staying for three nights, and you did not cancel on time, you will be charged for the three nights. You book for 12 nights and did not cancel, we will charge you for ten(10) nights and refund you two nights if 12 nights were charged.
However, if you can cancel online not later than 24 hours of your stated arrival time, we will not charge you further because the beds will be automatically released for others to book.
We can provide towels once. Extra towels for hire(rent) at $5.00 each.

PLEASE NOTE :
Starting from today, the 26th of April 2009, there will be a mandatory $20:00 cash only REFUNDABLE key deposit at check-in for any keys allocated to guests. We had to implement this new condition after a guest lost or decided not to return our keys at check-out today which has resulted in complete change of the entire lock costing us $89.59 in expenses for replacement(buying and mounting). The guest spent only $45:00 for staying with us for two nights but we've spent almost double of that to fix problems created by the incident.
We had to replace our lock for security reasons.

ATTENTION!!!
There is a man at the neighboring hostel stealing our guests. Beware of this man. If you go there, a wrong address, he will take your money and we will charge your credit card also if you don't show up.
Avoid that hostel and come to your correct hostel to avoid being double charged.
We always send their guests back to them whenever they show up at our hostel in error, but their hostel consistently rob us of our guests who stray to them in error, stealing their money by charging them when they know fully well that the guests entered their hostel in error and will be billed by us. It is when the guest/s get to their end destination that they usually become aware of being charged twice by two seperate hostels..

Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately I had an extremely unhappy experience in this Washington DC Guesthouse.
Before I arrived there, my mobile had already received the payment notice from the bank which issued my credit card, which proved that the hotel had collected all of the three day's hotel fees (The hotel knew my credit card's number and code, when I booked the hotel and paid the deposit months ago.)
When my friends and I arrived the hotel later in the afternoon of 8 August, we found the hotel was in a very uncomfortable situation no matter from insider or outside. We then told the receptor that I wish to cancel the book and let her to forfeit the deposit. But the hotel’s receptor said that they had collected all of our three day's hotel fees from my credit card's number. The receptor further said that no matter whether I lived there or not, the fee was not refundable anyway. Moreover, the receptor treated me very rudely and impolitely, so I escaped the hotel and have not lived the hotel for any single night.
Furthermore, I have freezed my credit card with the Bank of China, just because I fear that the hotel and the receptor seize my large amount of money with my credit card's number and code. It is the first time for me to come to USA, and I never believe any hotels in USA in the future, although I kept the better impression with USA before.

the person who owns the place was rude to us and unkind. The day we arrived, we got there 3 hours late because we got lost, she inmediatly yelled
at us and began to argue with us ,, she talked down at us , she never offered the breakfast that was included in the package , the place was filthy and smelled disgusting, the neighborhood was dangerous and dirty and unsafe ,, ,, pay more money smewhere else ,,
