The Yaranga is a Hostel situated in the City of Riga and is one of the closest Hostels/Hotels to Riga Airport (check the map) - about 10 minutes by taxi.

Yaranga is located in less than 20 min (by tram) from historical Old Town of Riga and most of the city attractions. Today life pulsates at the Old City, loved by residents and travellers alike for its shopping, leisure activities, clubs, cafes, bars, discos and of course restaurants - famous for its vivid nightlife, the biggest Scene in Riga.

The Yaranga has both private and shared rooms.

The house is situated in a green and peaceful area in the district Imanta. It is only a 10-minute drive from the Riga airport, making it the perfect location to explore both Jurmala and Riga.

The area is very safe. All of our guests appreciate the private and calm atmosphere in the house.

The Yaranga offers very quiet single, double, twin and 10 bed rooms. Whether you visit Riga with your family, as small groups, for business or studies ,the Yaranga is cosy, well organized in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for its international guests on a low budget.

2. ROOMS AND ENTIRE SPACE

Yaranga offers inexpensive accommodation in a Single, Double or Twin Private Rooms and in 10 bed room.

Our Hostel has a cosy lounge, where you can meet people from all over the world.In our Common room you can relax and watch cable TV, and DVD/MP3/CD set also available.

All rooms are light and have a high ceiling( more than 3,6 m ).

For more security there is a safe at the lobby, were you can leave your valuables.

Beds are placed at floor level only, You have no need to climb up into Your bed.

Please choose the accomodation on Your desire:

10 bed mixed room ;

Twin Private 20sq meters room. Can be used as a Single;

Double Private C 20sq meters room.Can be used as a Single;

Double Private B 62sq meters room (bedroom and living room area - can be used for studies or paperwork too). Can be used as a Single. Sorry, no kids under 15 y.o. for this room allowed. For this room additional beds are possible at 7,00 eur each (have to be agreed prior to arrival).

The rooms have beds,wardrobe and a table.Linnen is included. Towels can be rented for 2 euros (optional).

WC/bath room are shared between all rooms.

The Lobby has a coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle and cups. Here we have also a tea shop and necessity shop for your convenience. We have a cosy common room where you can relax. It is possible to surf the net with our WiFi connection.

Our friendly multilingual reception personnel are on duty 24hrs a day should you need any help or have any enquiries.

4. ENVIRONMENT & DISTANCES

There are some features to make Your stay comfortable:

Inexpensive tea shop just downstairs

In the building next door - there are pharmacy, cheap supermarket, restaurant , pizza place ; across the street - post office, bar with pool tables.

The Yaranga is well connected to visit and discover the Riga city and Jurmala resort, especially the 'trendy areas'.

Bus/Tram stops, Taxi stop on the corner. Train station 25 minutes going on foot.

Within a walking distance You can take a train to Jurmala - famous Latvian resort with beatiful white sand beaches. Train costs about 1 eur depending the destination station and trip lasts aprx 25 minutes.

The public transportation around Yaranga is very good. Huge number of trams and buses stops here.

Some destinations, for example:

ZOO - about hour by tram

Jugendstil area - 0,5 hour by tram or bus

Old City Riga - about 15 min by tram or bus

Bauska - little bit more than hour and half by bus

Sigulda - little bit more than hour by car, or about 1,5 hours by train and walk

Tallin - 3,5 h by car or bus

Location: very tranquil, spacy area.

Area for BBQs and summer relaxation.

5. PARKING

Although Riga is known for its parking problems, you will have no trouble finding a parking space directly in front of our house. Yard parking and free street parking available.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

No refund possible.

In case of no show after 24h - booking is canceled (except cases of prior notice of customer being late).In a case of cancellation or no show 100% of booking costs will be charged and only one night will be reserved - next dates will be cancelled, except the case customer send a message to the hostel on being late - booking will be maintained according to booked period, but not exceeding actually prepaid amount.

7. ADDITIONAL INFO

Reception and check out is possible 24h.

Check out is until 10.30

Check in time: from 14.00

Reserved rooms shall be available for occupancy from 14 p.m. on the agreed day of the client's arrival. The client shall not be entitled to occupy the room(s) earlier than this. Luggage can be left in Storage room free of charge if Your arrive early.

On the agreed day of departure the client must vacate the room by 10.30 at the latest. If the client does not vacate the room by this time we shall be entitled to charge 50% of the full room rate as published in the price list until 18.00 for reasons of non-contractual occupation, and if the client vacates the room after 18.00 100% of the full room rate will be charged. This shall not constitute any contractual claims on the part of the client.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO SIGN OF HOSTEL/GUEST HOUSE ON THE BUILDING.

The Yaranga is a non-smoking place. Pets are allowed at an extra 5 € charge per night only in private rooms, please inquire beforehand.
