This hostel was very nice with excellent staff. The room was spacious and they even had a/c. Unfortunately the internet was down but that was in all of the country per the June 5th incidences. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others and will stay there again on my next visit to Kunming.

In general, I don't really like to stay in White Birch International Hostel. The price is bit too high for what I received. I don't know if any of you can find an accomdation under 40 RMB in Urumqi, the same price can allow me live in a nice hotel in Kashgar. The light of the bathroom was broken, and it took a full day for the staff to change the light. (I offered to change the light, but the girl sat at the reception was playing video games on computer, and said she doesn't know where the lights are!) Whenever I asked direction, the staff can't provide the exact route (I am Taiwanese, and speak the same language with the staff). And everything in the hotel costs - to use the laundry, to use the kitchen...
If there can be other choices, I won't be staying here for my next trip.

Shuttle - Taxi: Take the shuttle from the airport. you can buy bus ticket in the exit hall.The shuttle directly goes to "You Hao Lu' (RMB 10 per person). Then please take a taxi to "Nan Hu Urumqi County Court(RMB 6 if no traffic jam). The hotel is right on the opposite road side.
Taxi: Take the taxi directly to the hotel. Please tell the taxi driver to take the route: Wai4 Huan- Bei Jing Lu ,Su Zhou Lu ?Shi Zhen Fu Nan Hu. (RMB 40)
From Train Station
Taxi: Take the taxi directly to the hostel. Please tell the taxi driver to take the route: Wai4 Huan- Guang Hui Qiao ,Xia He Tan Gong Lu.You Hao Lu Qiao .Shang He Tan Gong Lu - Shi Zhen Fu Nan Hu. (RMB 15)
Bus: Take No.8,58 from the train station, get off at 'Ben Men Yao Cai Gong Si.then change No.73 to 'Dian Xin Gong Si.
