This hostel is in a quiet neighbourhood, and walking around at night. It's a bit out of the way, but still fairly close to the Earl's Court tube station. Not the cleanest hostel I've stayed in, but the ensuite bathroom was nice.
Overall, simple and servicable.

About Barkston Youth Hostel
Barkston Youth Hostel is located in the quiet part of central london. It is a 3 minute walk from Earls Court Tube station (District and Piccadilly Lines). The hostel has people from differnt ages and countries from around the world espically from Europe. The hostel has a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. We have a 24 hour check in and 24 hour receptionists so you can come in and out of the hostel at your convience.Please note that you buy your continental breakfast from the hostel by giving the reception notice 24 hours before(breakfast cost £2.5 per person per night) ,towel rental £2 +(£3 as a deposit).

Conditions
The cancellation policy to: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of 10 GBP will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of a no-show the first night will be charged.
The hostel will pre authorize the card given two days prior arrival to guarantee the booking ,failure to authorize will result in booking being cancelled.

Overall, simple and servicable. The best part about the hostel was the nice big common room.

Staid in 8 mixed dorm for one night. The rooms was big, had it's own fridge and a sink, and their was not much traffic outside. The showers and wc were a 10 meters away shared with the rest of the rooms on that floor. They have got a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals, a tv room, and several pc'es with internet access in the lobby that you can purchase in the reception (75 minutes for 1 pound).

Barkston Youth Hostel was one of the cleanest and quietest hostels I've ever visited in London. I'll definitely come back next time!
The beds were comfortable and very clean, as was the whole room. I cannot guarantee clean showers for as I only stayed one night and had to catch a very early flight which is way I didn't use the facilities.
The service was very friendly and helpful!
