The Berkeley YMCA Hotel & Residence is located in the heart of Berkeley, 12 miles and 20 minutes from San Francisco. It is close to the University of California, shopping, theatres, a variety of international restaurants, and BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit).

The residence has been providing comfortable, safe, and affordable accommodation since 1910.

There are single and double rooms available, most of which have internet access and shared bathrooms.

Guests have access to the YMCA fitness centre - voted the best in the Bay Area, an internet lounge, a television lounge; and a fully-equipped kitchen.

The hotel and residence is popular with a diverse mix of guests including international students and faculty, YMCA members from other states and countries, visitors to San Francisco and other areas of California and hundreds of others. Guests must be 18 or older.

Well, they was building some thing when I live there but the only thing I can say is that this is a great place. And the people there are really really nice. The kitchen and the computer room are useful and clean. Some people and students just cook and eat in the kitchen. However, the location is not really nice because my mom see a robbing on the street near by the hotel at the first day we live in . So watch out and try not to go out at night.

The Berkeley YMCA is located one block from the Downtown Berkeley BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station which is also a hub for the area's bus system.

BART provides access to San Francisco (20 minutes away) and both the Oakland and San Francisco airports.
