this hostel is located in an excellent, busy, central location but the rooms are very quiet. the beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. the cafe has great breakfast. i would not call the staff overly friendly, but they were able to answer all of my questions with regards to public transportation, directions, etc. within walking distance of major xi'an city sights..... including the fantastic food street.

We boast the best location in Xi'an next to the Bell and Drum Towers, which is the central part of the city. We are within walking distance to 'food Street' and many places of interest making us a perfect base for all backpackers!
Everyone who booked our hostel from Hostelworld can surf the Internet for free (One Hour/day),and one beer for free ...Also make a local call is free...

The hostel is opening 24 hours, it is very helpful for people who arrive the hostel very late and want to have a comfortable bed or room.
The Bell Tower youth hostel offers 54 rooms in all, with accommodations ranging from single and double bedrooms to dormitory-style living. Prices vary according to number of beds, but all Hostelling International members receive discounts.
If you made a reservation in our hostel we can pick you up at the train station for free, just at morning (6:30 am --9:00 am). If you come by flight we also can arrange the airport pick up service for you.
We will keep the room for you until 6:00pm.If you will arrive after 6:00pm please tell us inadvance.

Directions
From the Railway station, take bus No. 611,201 or 251 to the Bell Tower station..(from the train station just need cross the street, there are the bus).You can find our hostel next to Post Office., please call us in advance to confirm your arrival time .We do pick up service at the train station for free at morning .()
From the airport take the airport shuttle bus to the last stop -Melody hotel . Walk 5 minutes in the direction of the Bell Tower. Then cross the street by underpass to the Youth Hostel (North Street east exit).
