I really recommend this place: the staff was incredibly kind; the location is just 10 minutes walking from the station in a very quiet neighborhood with a couple conbini and a supermarket around it; and the room was small but amazingly cozy and comfortable. Inside it there were yukatas to wear and a boiler to make tea. Furthermore the price is very reasonable. If I'm coming back to Kyoto I will definitely stay there again

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The location is a bit far away from the station, but you can get a bus. Overall quite nice ryokan, especially for this price! Was surprising to have wifi in the room!
Probably would be cold to stay in winter since the walls are very thin and you can hear almost everything.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Very small, but beautiful room in a lovely, immaculately renovated Japanese-style building. An easy ten- or fifteen-minute walk from JR Kyoto (as long as you remember to print out and take their map!). Handy to buses, trains and downtown Kyoto. I’ve always found Kyoto difficult to navigate around, but they provide plenty of helpful information for travellers, including a local restaurant guide. Friendly and good English spoken. Well-equipped shared kitchen.
