If you are looking for an enthusiastic service then DTA hostel will be your destination,We are a cozy place with some chilly people here,come to check it,highly recommend by Lonelyplanet.

One advice: DO NOT GO TO DTA!!!
Here are some reasons:
1) Their online reservation service (e.g. via travellerspoint or hostelworld) is not recognized. Once you arrive, nor the payment made online nor the reservatation came through, nor the price advertised online is right.
2) The staff is not helpfull at all once we arrived we did not get our room or money back
3) The rooms are ridiculously over priced since the mattrasses are like a wooden board
4) If you do not have the bathroom inside, you will have to deal with the outdoor, very cold and doorless (YES, for real!!!) toilets.
5) The owner is a prick, does not speak a word of English and refused to help to solve the problem. More people we met reserved AND paid online and he would not give the money back.To conclude, there are enough nice places to stay in Shangri-la and they will all be nicer, cheaper, cleaner and closer to the old town than DTA is. Since we were persistent, we got our money back after two days and threatening to call the police. I hope this comment will save you the trip to DTA.

We're sorry to hear of the problem you encountered on arrival. Clearly the property has a contract with us to honour all the bookings that are made based on pricing and availability uploaded by the management of DTA hostel! We are looking into how this could have happened, and if there have been other complaints, the property will be removed permanently.
