Hotel had a really nice and helpful staff! Rooms were spacious enough, but could've been bigger. Hotels restaurant had REALLY good hamburgers and chicken wings, I think the best I've ever had!
Location was good, only took about 15 minutes to walk to center. Rooms didn't have really good sound insulation, so talking and walking in the corridors disturbed a bit, but not much.

Le Vert Hotel is one of the oldest yet most modern in Chamonix. We have combined tradition with contemporary design to create a unique Alpine experience.
There are 21 bedrooms sleeping 55 people in a mixture of room types, all en-suite. With a restaurant, art deco lounge bar, and Pro-Shop on site you don't have to go far to enjoy an incredible holiday at the foot of Mont-Blanc. All our guests agree that the Vert Hotel is the perfect place to relax and recharge after a big day in the mountains. As a hotel we are committed to all things green, from recycling and energy efficiency to persuading you to carbon offset your flights! We welcome groups of any age, size and ability.
Please note that between 27 April 2009 and 19 June 2009 and 13 September 2009 and 30 November 2009 we are on 'interseason' this means that breakfast is sometimes available, the restaurant is closed and the bar is open from 16.00 to 20.00. The reception opens between 09.00 to 11.00 and 16.00 to 20.00. If you need to check-in out side these times you will receive the door entry code with your confirmation e mail from Le Vert and your key will be waiting for you in reception.

Overall really good value for money and I would recommend this to everyone! If I go back to Chamonix some day, I will go back to this hotel!

The hotel was a cheap and cheerful place. What made is that these guys and girls were really helpful , we had to change dates several times even while we were there and there was no big issue. They really could not have been more helpful in booking huts in the mountains and also assisting when we lost gear and a camera in the mountain. Great place to use as a base for climbing as their rates are good

We were in Chamonix for one night and needed a place to get organized for our Chamonix to Zermatt walk. The Le Vert Hotel was an excellent place to do this. It is about three km from the center of town and has good bus service. The room we got could not open with the key and the hotel clerk gave us another room that was great. We really appreciated the work of the hotel. We would have liked to stay longer and do recommend it to others.

Directions
From the train station: exit the station and walk down the hill (2 mins), take a right at the bottom of the hill and walk into the big square (1 min). Head to your left and you will see the bus stop.
Le Vert is situated 1.5kms from the Centre Ville and can be reached by taking Line 9 Bus from any stop in town heading to 'Les Houches' (This will be on the front of the bus). Get off at the stop marked 'Les Gaillands'. The hotel is right there! Simple.
