This is a Trusted Review. Why?
I booked into the Lomond Hotel, single room with shared bathroom. Arriving there, I was told that they did not have any such rooms, I was told to go across the road to the Botanics Hotel. Fair enough. The lady there told me that the key to my room was twisted and did not fit into the lock - inserting it about 2 - 3 millimeters would allow me to unlock the room. Well, yes, it did work, but any metal object the size of a key would have unlocked my room.
The shared bathroom was medium clean, however, the shower was a menace. The waterflow was incredibly weak, and the temperature of the water kept changing. Not very pleasant.
I stayed on a Sunday night, having to get up early on Monday to go to work. I was informed (and so it read on the board above reception) that breakfast during the week was from 7.30 on. Fine for me. However, when I came downstairs at 7.30 everything was dark, the breakfast room was locked, nothing and nobody moved. A sign on the door "breakfast from 8 - 9". That meant I had to leave without the breakfast I had paid for.
Overall, I would not go there again. There are better offers in Glasgow!
